When thief force you to withdraw from your ATM

Hi received this email today regarding things to do when thief forces you to withdraw from your ATM. Read the content of the email below..
"When a thief forces you to take from the ATM, do not argue or resist. You might not know what he or she might do to you. What you should do is to punch your PIN in the reverse mode. i.e. if your PIN is 1254 you punch 4521. The moment you punch in the reverse mode, the money will come out but will be stuck to the machine halfway out and it will alert the police (security)without the notice of the thief. Every ATM has it; it is specially made to signify danger and help.."
I am not sure if this is authentic. What do you think of this?

I've heard about it and I think it's true. Though what I heard was that they give you the money anyways so thief wouldn't hurt you but the police would be notified. I think it's a pretty good feature, at least a better chance at catching the thief.

Hi To all of you. I got this message also. One thing I can say IT's a HOAX. Ive tried it accidentally. I used my ATM and I punched the reverse form because I forgot my PIN instead punching it 6346, I punched 6436. The machine took my card and I end up starving until the next day.

Hi there, well i dont know about it but maube this can help. I always transact with ATM machine and i always take a look in the surroundings before using the machine,. safety first before anything else. And as much as possible i withdraw money with lots of people especially there is security its more safer, anyway i hope what you said can really helps if an accident like this may occur, keep on mylotting
