There are so many ways to earn online. Before indulging yourself to all these ways earning online, there are few questions you have to consider. what are your interests? Are you married with kids? or single? In a day, how much time you can allocate for your online earning sites? Once you started with this, you will find an ocean of sites that offer earning sites. It can be addicting and may take away your time. Actually, your primary investment here is your TIME so better be aware of the sites you will be joining. I understand what you feel about meeting both ends in terms of finances. It takes quite sometime to establish yourself online so will be needing a lot of PATIENCE but just KEEP GOING. Goodluck you are on the right track by joining mylot. Feel free to send me message for any assistance.

I've always believed in using one's talent to earn. You can think of side jobs that involves what you love doing. For example, I love making accessories and it was just a hobby until I started selling the accessories that I made. So, I was actually earning money with my hobby. Some of my officemates who are in photography also earn by giving their services to birthday parties and other events. My suggestion is, find something you love to do and think of ways to earn from it. It's the best way to earn money.

The freelance sites usually accept sign ups worldwide so they're a good option to start with. There's always writing work, data entry and that sort of thing and the pay is alright.
You could try Mechanical Turk, An Amazon company. They offer a variety of work some of it very low paid but if you look out for survey work which pays $4-$8 or article writing which starts at $4. Other work pays 10-15 cents per task and if it isn't too time consuming it can soon add up.
