I believe that WHATEVER amount we earn for just having fun is absolutely fair. They do tell us that we earn for engaging others in intersting quality discussions and those that do that are never on the boards complainging that their earnings are low. That makes perfect sense to me - do as you are told and you earn.
Discussing the earnings structure, when they specifically tell us not to, is like driving a car the wrong way up a one-way street. What's the point????

The point seems Justifiable & I agree that there there will be some kind of drawbacks, however for those who are less concerned with money & looking mainly for fun, the earnings structure will hardly bother.

You have not been here long right? You have not yet had time to realise that those that are here for the fun and not for the money, are those which end up earning the most!
It IS all about having fun. It is not fun counting out how many posts to do a day to reach payout or how many discussions to start etc. The fun come when you just join in and forget about earning. THEN they start adding up, believe me!

I appreciate your point my friend, however there are many like me, who gets excited to see the numbers increasing. The fun factor is just making things more enjoyable!.To be frank this is my third of Lotting & just learning stuffs here. But from the past 26hrs, I've learned something even-though how small it may be.

I dont think its fair that they dont explain to us how much we make. Every other site ive been on they always tell you the amount you can make per post which I dont get why mylot has to be so secretive when it comes to earnings because all of us want to know how much we get per post I know I do atleast.

From what I understand it would be next to impossible to explain if you think about it! they pat out on the amount of revenue they receive, And that varies! I guess they could give us a copy of the matrix and then I'm sure no one could understand it, and that could generate a whole new area of discussions! tdemex

Now I'm just curious but would somebody please try to explain something to me. I thought it said in the guidelines that we are not supposed to be talking about our earnings. If somebody can please give some clarification on this I would appreciate it very much, just so that I will know for myself that we are all understanding the guidelines the exact same way

I can understand their need to restrict personal details etc but I do feel their Do's and Dont's a bit draconian.
Things I take issue with, are jokes and recipes being banned, and not declaring personal milestones. So, when I was 12 I was given 3 months to live, but I've just celebrated my 17th birthday (friend of mine, who could have been a Mylotter but chose not to be) would not be worthy of discussion, yet "what McDnalds burgers do you eat" is?
It's all very confusing and unclear, IMHO.
I know, I know - deleted comment coming up ...

I do agree with you that their do's & dont's are a bit confusing at-times. However since I love the workplace, I sometimes over look the minus points. Even though there might be many backdraws for Mylot team, I wish if there was an approximate structure of earnings, it would have been better for many.

Maybe I would have thought like you months ago, when I started at mylot. But to me, mylot is not mainly a site to earn money (although it DOES pay). Mylot is a social site, a place to find friends, an international cozy family room where we can share our problems and even a recipe.
I think mylot is giving us much more than we can ever expect. In that way, it´s a fair site. As for the money, it´s part of a mystery. Sometimes I have 500 posts a month (answers and comments included) and I don´t reach the $10. Other times I have them with much less. Do I care? NO, by all means! I love mylot as it is
Take care

I believe that mylot is very fair. I feel that they pay us for our efforts, and if a user doesn't put much effort into it then they don't get much. I have always been happy with my earnings, as I am getting paid for my efforts, and believe me, I do put effort into it. Nothing in life is free unless we do put time and effort into anything. I really don't want want to know how they figure our earnings, as they pay, and that is all that matters, and besides, our earnings shouldn't be the most important thing anyway. Being able to share our views iwth others, and learning in the process is the most important thing, and also to just have fun, as I don't conisder mylot work at all. It is a pleasure to be here and I am so enjoying myself, and that is what really matters. I am here because of the views I can share, the friends I can make and lastly, the earings I can make. So, all in all, you betcha that mylot is very fair. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Even I am really happy with my earnings as I can earn a lot more than other sites. sometimes I feel that it would have been better if they broke the suspense & told how much approx would you earn, but sometimes I feel that it is exciting to see the next day how much you have earned!!.

It's not fair in a sense. I don't know why they do hide it but what else can we do it's their rules. Some lotters wouldn't bother to question this as long as they get paid and the site is enjoyable.

I don't know. One day every week always gone from my history payment. Maybe that's the way they searched money. But it's not their fault.
