What do you mean with treated? Or maybe you mean threated? According to your story, i think you meant threated. It's so many threats on the internet. I agree with you that there's no free lunch in this world. Actually if your friend is an internet savvy, i think she won't be got cheated easily. There's alot of such story on the internet. And almost everyday we can find such story in news website. I think this could be a lesson for everyone here in mylot to be more preventive with such offers. I believe that almost all of us here ever got such email or seen such banner on the internet. Sometimes something too good to be true banner is very attracting our attention. Especially for people who are in financial problem, they will easily trapped on such banner or email. But if they are not greedy, they would see that such email is spam email. So we shouldn't believe it. I hope your friend will be smarter now and for something bad just let it flow. Be positive thinking and just considering that is her most expensive experience learning on the internet. Good luck for you and your friend. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

These people are terrible the way they play on people's lives. I too have recieved numerous emails saying I have won some lottery, even in foreign countries. I have recieved one from a "gentleman" that reportedly was from the IRS and that I should send him pertinant information in order that I not get in trouble with them. Well, lucky for me I called the IRS in our local division, explained the situation and was informed that the emails are FAKE and they are trying to get information from me such as address, phone number, bank account. Never, EVER will legitimate places request such information online! Also, if you ever search for jobs online, one should never have to pay anyone money to get a job offer, that is a SCAM, I fell for this many many years ago. They requested I send money to a certain address and they would tell me where to go apply for the top jobs. Well, I got for my time and money was one (1) sheet with a list of websites to visit for IDEAS on different jobs and employment. Be careful.

Hi Irisisflower, thanks for your sharing. Talking about finding a job, there is another trick I have met. They will ask you wait somewhere and they will go to pick you up somewhere for interview. Usually they will find some excuse to borrow your cell phone and then they will just run away. Be careful!
