Hi aakruti_new, my favourite musical instrument would have to be the one I play, only every now and then though. I can not read music, but think I have a decent ear for a good tone, with ability to get the notes cascading without making you feel sick. I play the didgeridoo. Something most folks will not know about this instrument, it has been part of Australian aboriginal culture for an awful long time. It is played traditionally in the north but not the centre or south. It is a 'Mens business' thing, women have their own 'Womens business' instruments and ceremonies to which Men are not accustomed or knowledgable. It is frowned upon for a woman to play or in some circumstances by some individuals to even touch, as the didgeridoo is a phalic symbol in the big scheme of things. I think after that, is something I have not heard for a long, long time. Chamber music played on a harpsichord. I believe the ancient Irish had a similar instrument made of metal as one was found in a burial mound a while ago, and it had most folks stumped as too what it was until someone played it like a didg.

Many women in the United States play the didgeridoo. We have didgeridoo festivals here. We also have non-traditional digeridoos. I made one out of 2 snake gourds and I painted some made out of plastic. My boyfriend made one from a hollowed out yucca stalk. They call those yucca-doos. I hope I get better at playing it. I can't get the hang of circular breathing.

at the moment my favorite musical is the guitar. I also play the flute and a bit of keyboard.

Flute. I don't know how to play it. But I like the flute recital of Chaurasia. He is a great exponent of Flute all over the world. I am great fan of him. May be because of his performance, I like flute so much.

My favorite instrument to play is the piano because all the notes are in order. It's a lot harder for me to pick out a melody on a guitar.
My favorite instruments to hear are the gypsy or celtic fiddle, the flute, instruments made out of gourds, banjos, and hammered dulcimers.
My favorite drum is a tie between dumbek and bodhran.
I like bagpipes if they are played well, but it annoys me when they play Amazing Grace all the time. Just when I'm enjoying any bagpipe music they have to ruin it by playing that.
Oh well, I have many favorite instruments. I just wish I could play them.

i like guitars, bass, and drums.. coz i play all of them.. i hate the piano coz i cant play it! :(
