How would you throw a party if you were on a budget? Since it's my birthday coming up and the day before i leave to go to Orlando i was thinking about having something at the house, but i am on a budget since i am unemployed and can't afford to do to much but want to enjoy a little party with some friends. What could i do to throw a party on a low budget income?

I can actually relate. My husbands family just his siblings and kids end up to be about 50 people. So we usually throw a 4th of July party every year so they can all get togtheir.. The best bet is just put up few decorations. And ask your friends to bring a dish to pass. And just have a good time being togetheir. I'm sure they'd understand because you are unemployed.
And if your looking for something for ya'll to do. Play games cards or even a twister game to bring back hs memories. Anything as long as your having a good time. Being on a budget doesn't mean you'll be lacking any of the fun either :)
just enjoy! and PARTY!!

hello there! advance happy birthday to you. well i guess you have to determine first as to how much are you gonna spend fro your birthday party. on the other hand, i still believe that we can still celebrate birthdays without throwing a party--just go to church to thank God for another year added to your life.

I second the hot dogs and marshmallows idea as long as you have a firepit to cook them over. If not, one of the cheapest parties I ever threw just consisted of little snack foods like chips, etc and a movie and was a great time.
Potlucks are also a great way to have some friends over to socialize for cheap. You could do a theme potluck, like a Mexican or dessert potluck, and it would also be a great way to get some new recipes.

Hey,
I don't really know how to throw a part on a budget, sorry about this. Hopefully someone else will be able to answer your question better than I have done, in a really good way so you can actually benefit from it. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

You can prepare and cook for your self the foods that you are going to serve or just like have a barbeque party in your house. Be very careful on your food choices. You can serve inexpensive but healthy and delicious dishes.

My first suggestion would be to go to your local party store and check their clearance section. Every time I go to our party store they have a huge selection of clearance items that are great!
You could also go to your local Dollar Store. We have the dollar tree here where everything is a dollar - if you have one of those that could help you a TON!
As for food - clip some coupons and make your menu based on what foods you can find coupons for. The Sunday paper almost always has coupons for chips/snack foods. Then maybe you could roast hot dogs and marshmallows? Those are both cheap, summer foods!
Good luck to you :-) I hope you're able to have a great party on a budget! I definitely think it's possible!!

It's better to cook your own food. That way you can save money from spending on take away or cake from the bakery. If you can't cook, get an expert to help (define expert = your mom, friends or similar people with awesome cooking ability) Invitation can be made via mouth or phone. Texting is cheaper. It doesn't have to be a big party but enough with food and everyone gather at your house.
