There was a time when people used to stick to their TV through out the day. When Internet came, People left viewing TV, Instead Stayed glued to Internet through out the day. Even now there are many who prefer TV to Internet. Someone the other day asked me why you are watching TV when you have a net at home? I never had any answer!! So what will you prefer?

Hi Dude Today i have started discussion that how much you can surf the net. I dont have too much capacity to do anything like watchin TV for a long time or Use net for long hours. So nothing is possible for me to do for a long time. I dont care about any harm of Tv or internet but i do care about time. If i spend more time on net and get something out of that then , i will be happy that i got something. Same way if i would get somethig from Television ; it is reward for me. have a nice day!!

yes you are right, from internet we get more than tv That is why i miss internet too much. I feel bore when go out to surf net. When i go out for surfing , cannot sit for a long time. Surfig is always more advantageous that televison after coming in contact with all those earning sites. In pas i was only using net for mail and chatting purpose but now a days it is more useful for m e and in this condition dont have net at home.

Its always great if we get something out of Internet or TV, however I feel that you can get more out if Internet than TV. Atleast you can earn some money online & get many free goodies too.

Internet all the way!!! I became tired of TV about 7 years ago and haven't even looked back. I watch all the good shows streaming directly off the net and keep up with the news from CNN.com. (and here of course). But why pay for cable when you can get everything in one place and only pay one bill: Internet! :D

That's true & you can even watch TV online provided you have a very good internet connection.

I pay a bit more for my internet connection because I am not paying a cable or satellite bill. And even though I do pay a bit more monthly it is still *a lot* cheaper than having both internet and TV of some sort.

When I watch tv shows are movies, I perfer to watch them in the t.v. Hower I do spend a lot more time on the intenet then tv becase there is not that much on tv any more that I want to watch. what I do on the net is rated to other things, like e-mail, IM, surrign the net, dowlanding music and podcast, as well as on-line shopping. I still watch tv but there are times when I do not even turn on the tv becase i am either busy or not intrsteted in the programs on.

I'm going to say Internet, only because there is so much more information and scope of ideas and opinions out there. TV has gone rather sour in terms if interesting content... for me anyway. Don't get me wrong, I once enjoyed watching TV years ago, however now, television is basically for the news. I would much rather surf the Internet than sit on a couch with a converter in my hand anyway.

Once you are really into something, it really can be addictive. Since you have many advantages, I think your preference is the best for you

i have placed my pc very near to my TV set and i do both the things at the very same time, i.e. watching TV or hearing and surfing the net. so i never miss my programs also i am not away from my pc too. two in one... the chair on which i sit while surfing goes round and it help much to check both of it at a time. Both the things are addictive ones and i cannot leave one for the sake of the other. but if to choose between one ...then i would go for my pc.

well that's a good way of multitasking so that you wont miss anything. I wonder whether how you will be able to concentrate on both places at the same time!

Ya its said that too much of anything is harmful, however for me, If smoking & boozing can be harmful, then too much of net is also sometimes an addiction!

If I had to choose I would say internet over television - but I have kept my television with no cable - so I get all the local stations, PBS, etc. So all the "hit shows" I get to see - anything else I could probably find online. I do prefer to watch movies on my TV though since I don't have to sit in front of my computer...

I wonder what's the difference between watching movie on computer than watching on TV. Infact watching TV will be more harmful to you eyes than PC!

Hey, Actually I don't really watch TV that much, I actually don't even watch it at all, I am just too busy at the moment. I mean it isn't to say that TV is totally boring, but I Just think that that Internet wins over TV in terms of entertainment. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hmmm i still watch quite a lot of television. In fact i sometimes even do both at the same time (I have a tv in my room and sometimes sit with a programme on and have my laptop on my lap) I talk on msn whilst the programme is on and do a little bit of mylotting during the breaks. Works quite well I think over all though i spend more time on my laptop than i do watching tv. I have a few programmes that i watch regularly on tv.

Definitely internet. I like the freedom of the internet. TV often bores me with the countless re-runs, the extenze and girls gone wild infomercials every 5 minutes, and fake reality shows. That being said, I'd like to have both. I love watching sports and Adult Swim on Cartoon Network.
