If I visit NYC to see go to Rockefeller center in December, Where should I stay?

Just looking for a nice hotel near rockefeller center so that I don't have to take a taxi everytime I want to go there. Let me know if you know of any places near there. Thanks!

The Ritz-Carlton, Westin, and four seasons are all pretty safe bets in NYC. However, you probably want to book your hotel thru a coupon site (coupondawg.com or retailmenot) to get a discount.
