As a technician I find it has a lot of bugs in it this year, including slowing the memory down on 2year old and later machines. thanks for the post

Since I could best be described as computer illiterate,I use whatever my g/f decides would be best for my comp.

I am using AVG Free Edition.. why? because its free to download, and it only consume few memory.I seldom use norton anivirus, because it consume large amount of memory...specially during start-up/boot-up.It's not advisable to use norton for slow computer..If you want to use norton better upgrade ur PC..
