What would you do to kill time when you are sick and you have to be at home all the time. Let's say you're have to be in bed all day and you're not allowed to go anywhere or do anything you like?
I am ill now and my partner disallow me to do anything I like. Even I am not allowed to play games on the computer because I would be too excited with the game and become sleepless.
So if you were me, you're jailed in your own house and you're not allowed to touch the computer, what would you do to kill time?

I'm desperately trying to save time as I understand the value of time. Its very easy to kill time but extremely difficult to save it. After all time is money. There are 1000 ways to kill time starting from meditating & exercise to sleeping. since I'm trying for ways to save money, I hope I wont kill time trying to find ways!!!

I believe that the only time that is wasted is time you weren't enjoying what you were doing.
Some people may say that sleep is a waste of time, for he who enjoys it, t isn't. Some may say watching t.v. all day is a waste of time, but for he who enjoys it, it isn't. It all depends on what is a waste of time for each individual, and no one can say what is a waste of time for anyone else.

I really agree with you that time is money and it is so hard for me to think that I have to spend the whole day without post anything in the net... But what about you have to take the sick leave for some days at home. I believe it is not easy for working people to do this... I think exercising is interesting, but how could you do that if you have to lie at bed the whole day...

Well thats a good question & many people often fell sick. Its all about making time useful. Even writing or reading something informative will help.

Hello,
I would try to catch up on sleep and maybe write my friends so letters. Music I would daydream in some music and then for sure fall back to sleep . I would read and I am sure I could finish a book within 2 days . So, then I would have to send my fiance to the store for some books and mags . Maybe have some house quest and rent some low key movies.

That's right.. I might be able to daydream for one or two hours... but for the whole day? I don't think I would be able to keep myself stable just by daydreaming. Maybe books work better for me because I used to be a bookworm, and I believe I haven't lost that trait yet.

i remember after i had a partial hysterectomy and was stuck inside all the time. i had a routine. i still had to get up and get kids ready for school but i would watch a certain couple of shows on tv, crocket a bit (i made a blanket for my sister inlaw during that time) and have a nap when my youngest had her nap (she was in junior kindergarten that year.)

Maybe I would read a book or something else. Or just listen to music.
But mostly, I would use that time to rest and sleep. I would also recommend that you can have a great conversation with your partner during this time. It is the most conducive time for looking in the past and planning the future. There is no distractions whatsoever.
Hope you get well soon.

Reading a book is a good idea, though for now I don't have any new book to read. But I would consider to reread a book that I like so much. And I would love to talk to my partner... Talking is fun and having a deep conversation would be nice, but too bad that my partner is working and I was left alone at home because I was sick :(
Thank you... I hope I would be better soon. Can't wait to get out and get a fresh air...

Yeah... the problem is that I am alone at home. If there are friends here to talk to and to chat with, I wouldn't be so boring. At least there is someone I could do some activity with. At least if there were some friends around, I could chat, playing cards together, or gossiping.
I love gossiping and that was definitely the best way to kill time. How to invite a friend to get to my place knowing that I was sick. LOL

when I get stuck like this, I turn to reading. I enjoy reading so, time pass hasnever been a problem and now with the job there is hardly anytime for it. why don't you try it out, if you are not a heavy reader just a random magazine can help you out too.

I read books while on bed and drink teas most of the time. I do not do internet surfing if I need to sleep a lot and do not want to strain my eyes. Since, i feel weak from a cold or flu. I may like to sleep most of my time and put some cream on my face to do the beauty rest..

I would watch TV or catch up on my reading by having my partner get me some books to read. Especially romance novel and mystery books
