What do you do when you have a problem you cannot do anything about?

I sleep or do not sleep at all when I have a big problem. I eat a lot or I do not eat at all, it depends. I watch an old movie to entertain me or distract my thoughts from the problem I am facing. I cannot do anything or think of anything straight. I want to go out of the house and walk. I want to go to a quiet place just to be alone. I don't want to talk to anyone about themselves. I withdraw from the crowd. I go treat myself to a good coffee house and sit there for a long time. I cry. I pray every minute. In all these, I know that what I am doing is counter productive and will not in one way help solve my problem( except the pray part). But I wonder, why do I do it still?

Because you are down. Its normal. people takes time to recover. Me too. If i can do something about it, I will do and if I cannot, just let it be. Let time heal it. we human, there will be times when we facing difficulties and hardship, and life is a cycle, sometimes we up, and at times we down. But don't let it eat you. Don't let the down feelings take you down for a long time. You can face any challenges that coming.

That is true you do have to face the prob that you are faced with. It really doesnt go away ... Holding things in I think can cause more pain and stress.
Life does have its downs but i know it has more ups

I eat sweets like cakes, leche plan, fruits salad or chocolates so I won't be stress. I go to the altar and pray to Sto Nino to help me solve it. If it's a wednesday I'll go to Baclaran church to attend to the Novena to our Mother of Perpetual Help. On Fridays I attend mass and read the novena at the Black Nzarene in Quiapo church. Lastly I include it to my prayer requests on saturday while attending the family appointment with El Shaddai. After all of these I am an answered prayer.

I know my problem with my health would not be solved anymore I tried not to think about it but sometimes even if I'm avoiding it I can't forget it. I'm worried alot about the result of my health condition in the future. I'm avoiding my friends and my acquiantaces for years because I know they not going to relate in my situation and they don't understand what I've been to. I stop going to church for 3 years. because I don't know why God gave me misfortune in life. I stop believing that my illness going to be cured. So for now I accept it as it is and made myself believe that I'm healthy. I'm want people around me to believe that I'm strong even if in inside I'm very weak.

Don't lose hope, friend, you're too young to give up. Miracles happened, bring back your faith in God, continue praying and attending mass. God is good, trust him, He have all the reasons for everything that's happening. Attend prayer meetings or try attending El Shaddai on Saturdays at Amvel Compound Sucat Pque, just see for yourself how people praise God and hear the people's testimonials on how their problems were solved and how their illnesses got healed. You'll not get bored hearing songs to the Lord. You'll find brothers and sisters, rich and poor, young and old. Just try, write your prayer requests, trust Him and you'll be answered.

Hello!
When I was younger I would go to my room and hide under the bed covers and try and sleep and cry it all away . I guess it helped a little and yes I would eat as well sometimes and well that sucked . Now I think about it Let it flow and try to let it go by keeping busy . I know that walking the track has been a huge life saver for me but sometimes my fiance gets to me with all his complaining and then we shout and he never shuts up. He follows me around and kinda is my brick so then i walk and cry it out . Lately life has really messed with his head and he just cant deal and is always sad and wants to do nothing. Its hard.

Thanks for sharing your concerns to me my friend. Facing our problems is hard enough. All the more when you see someone we care for facing struggles and you know is having a hard time doing it. Those times when you can do nothing but pray!

What a tuff but realistic problem you've had, I guess for most one they all more or less encounter the same problem that you are facing. But we got nothing to deal with that, I mean that's weird, and puzzled. We were all confusing while that happened to us, and I guess there was no good way to explain or sovle that embrassing situation. Yet, we should calm down a little bit when it comes and be full of confidence to conque that problem.

we have many in common.when i meet a problem i dont like to talk to anyone and let myself quiet and in the middle of tranquil enviroment.i feel relaxed.Once my work proble puzzled me very long,i thought that the day must collapse, feeling despondent and not willing to see any.now recalled any matter can be solved with time passing. So dont too be sad,if we meet our inextricabilty problem, just let let time solve our proble.everything will be better.

When I am facing a problem I can't do anything about, I turn to God. There is no use worrying about the things we can't control anyways. We have to give our worries to the Lord. The bible says in Philippians 4:6 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everythingby prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your requests be made know to God." God is telling us not to worry or be anxious, but to turn to him for help. Sometimes its hard for us to let things go, though. We just have to try to be strong and not let the stress of situations bring us down.

in fact,i met these problems that i can not do anything about, maybe nobody can help me and deal with it,so i selcet to do it naturally,i know that result is not
recieved in my mind, but as human i must learn to concede,so i have other chance to deal with it,so i think that when you can not do anything about, maybe doing it naturally is good way,

I think problems is a part of our life.
We need to be ready of what trials we're
heading in our life.We can'nt choose
problem that is easy to be solve.
Everydays we incounter different problems
that somehow we can even win by solving
it if we can.You dont have to worry
that's why we have trials because GOD
knows we can handle it.

if i am upset about something or bothered
by a problem which i can't do much about,
i barinstorm and try to exhaust the few last options to solve it...
if i can't then i take a deeeeeep breath,,,,,,
and I accept it!!!!
it helps!
but it does help a lot if i eat, eat, eat......

Every time I encounter situations or problems I often pray a lot. I look back those difficult days of my life and how it all end well. I talked to myself and said that all things shall pass away and the situation that I am right now won't stay. I make sure to convinced myself that everything will be okay.
Every problems that came my way, there's only one thing that I learned that is to trust in God. Never ever he failed me, that's for sure.
Have a great day!

Well, I watch a horror movie. It scares me so I am really distracted. Old movies, I could watch and let my mind wander. But horror movie has my attention. :-) Walking is another thing that I ofen use when I have problems. I dont realize how many miles I might walk and invariably there are plenty of distractions by the roads. So it does refresh me. Rest of the symptoms are quite similar. But instead of crying I spend time trying to croon. Eating binges is something I have after having controlled my diet for too long. Not when I am in any problem.

Somewhere in our many years of life, I think mom or dad might have done this, and we followed in their footsteps. It's hard to break life long habits, especially, when they seem so normal. It's hard to be positive 100 percent of the time. If you weren't brought up with a positive attitude, and you had to learn it on your own, it's darn near impossible, but it can be done. I use affimations, and I have a daughter who gets in my face and tells me in no uncertain terms to stop worrying or acting in such a negative manner. If I manage to allow myself to listen, I find that problems have a way of working themselves out. Don't Worry,be happy really does work.Let me leave you with this affirmation. "Let Go and Let God..."
