As you know in late 90s there are so many boybands popping out in the music industry. It's all originally started back when Jackson 5 Beach Boys era, but I think the modern boyband started with Backstreet Boys around 1995 or 1996. They throwing multiple hits like Get Down, I Never Break Your Heart, I Want It That Way, until they peak with songs like Shape Of My Heart. The success followed by N*Sync, O Town, Westlife (for Europe and Asia). In quite the same time, girlband such as Spice Girls also showed up, but I don't think there were any girlband as succesful as those girls. I still listen to them frquently. Some people found it as a guilty pleasure since they said that they loathed this kind of music but actually found their music very enjoyable. I personally think that their songs are very catchy and have melody and actual singing, unlike many music these days which have too much beat, too many sound effects and too many "voice polishing". I often sing these boyband song when karaoke with my friends and we all would sing along the lyrics. Although I'm just 22, I just feel it reminds me the good youthful days of my life lol. So how about you? Do you still listen to them?

Ah, I also like Boyz II Men, they definitely become the most wanted boyband in the early 90s followed closely by All 4 One and Az Yet afterwards. I think NKOTB is at late 80s, wasn't it? Girl bands that is very famous is 90s is TLC, still listen to their music until now, and yes it's crazy to imagine that Beyonce came out in late 90s already and her career has been spanning over 10 years now. Thanks for the response roniroxas! You certainly hear a lot of boy/girl bands!

Spice Girls best song IMO is 2 become 1, Wannabe, and Viva Forever, while backstreet boys masterpiece is quite a lot..other than you mentioned before, "I Want It That Way", "Shape Of My Heart" and "As Long As You Love Me" also a classic, even their videos been a target of joke by other band such as Blink 182. I initially don't really like BSB's few first singles, such as I Never Break Your Heart, Anything For YOu (too soppy soppy) and Get Down (cheesy upbeat song), but when Quit Playing Games with MY Heart came out, I instantly changed my mind and thought that they are really talented singers.

Nope, I don't listen to them. There are a lot of music genres that interests me now Like Metal, Hardcore, Progressive rock, dance rock and a lot more. Somehow, I can still hear boy bands on the radio but don't give an attention to it.

Yes, i still listen with the boyband songs. Actually, i still play my collection of boyband albums like NSYNC, Boys II men, West life, and A1. They were all hit during the 90's. I love their dance moves and love songs. I still sing their songs in videoke also. I really love NSYNC. For me their love songs was really great and easy to sing in videoke. I love singing I Drive Myself Crazy, Music of my heart, BYe BYe, Its gonna be me, gone, sailing and This I Promise You. Their songs was really part of my teenage years.
