Yes, I got irritated as a teen as my mom ended every phone conversation with this phrase. So that I thought it lost meaning and became just words. Habit. I even said it to a friend once who just like, er I love you too...and of course we were friends who were basically like family - but even though I love my close friends, I generally don't say it - least of all on the phone. So I refused to say it for a long time. But now, as she's getting older I always want her to know how I feel...
