Why my reputation drop in mylot?

That's unfortunate that your reputation has dropped slightly. There can be a number of reasons why this has taken place. I'm thinking that maybe there was another My Lotter that wasn't too keen on one of your previous discussions and so they gave you a negative rating. This has certainly happened to me in the past. Unfortunately there's no way of finding out when someone gives you a negative rating. All I can suggest is that you always remain true to yourself and continue to post always following your heart. Don't worry about other people. Your ratings will improve again. Andrew

Dear masteronline, It happened to me again today...I just wonder what had I done. A week ago I was at star rating 10 with 100/100, 5 days ago, I was shocked to see 98/100. So, I still carry on as it climbed back to 99/100...out of sudden this evening it dropped to 98/100. I am an active myLotter. I logged in everyday to comments and response. Moreover, will the Best Response helps? I earned 6 BR today, yet my rating drop to 98/100...why can't the BR offset the negative rating ...just wonder! I always give (+) rating to all my responder and whenever I read the discussion I will definitely rate it positively.. All the best , hope our star will improve Hmmm , I hope I can climbed back to 100/100...it is very encouraging if your rating is good...it makes my day.

It is so sad to hear from you. Talking of reputations, we do not have the control to it. It is the other member's who gives us rate. If that member did not find your answer helpful, he/she will give you negative ratings. That that will decrease your mylot reputation. If I may suggest, when you respond to a discussion, make it sure that you were able to answer the concern of the poster of the discussion. Elaborate more your answers. You can also give some examples if necessary.with me, i never give negative comments to other members. I just appreciate their responses.

that is so sad my friend. i dont give negative ratings towards my friends and fellow mylotters. but as what i have known when someone rated you negatively then your rating would surely drop. but i know it will rise again. maybe someone is just in their bad saide again and giving negative ratings. just dont worry to much friend and i hope your child is doing fine now. i know you are great here just do it that way. and i know it would be going good again. jhelai

Hi MasterOnline, I only can give some suggestion maybe can help. please make responses or comments to discussion with some relative aspect to it. If we do not know any about it, then just leave and give your responses and comments to many other discussion that interest you and we have ability on it. Sometimes i found discussion that hard for me to join. I did not pushed myself on it to get several posts count increased, i just give a shot to another topic to try. happy myLot

If you have responded to others discussion negatively, it can cause your reputation to drop. If you also use words inappropriate and against mylot's guidelines and to's, it can be another factor. I think you can't know exactly who among the mylot users give you a negative rate. Just add description to your discussion and respond with quality to others discussion and your reputation will go up again. happy mylotting.

This happened to me also. I used to have a number 9 on my star. Your reputation will be affected by the comments of your readers and there is no way for us to find out who gave you negative comments.

hi there masteronline, someone gave negative ratings to me also and I'm not not going spend any time worrying about it because I know that what goes around comes back around, it's called Karma. So you just need to continue doing the right things and post good quality discussions and comments and don't allow this petty little incident to get to you. Have a wonderful night my friend. Your reputation drops when someone gives you a negative rate, however if you are new & just reached your 100, your reputation starts from 1. I mean Your reputation increases depending on the Plus ratings you get. If the reputation dropped , the only reason is that someone might have marked you -ve because they didn't like your response. reputation usually drops after getting around 10 -ve rating & increases after getting 10 +ve ratings depending on the ratio.
