I don't get it that you have a 100Mbps broadband connection but the surfing speed you get is just 50Kbps. shouldn't it be you're getting higher speed during surfing.
50Kbps is below a dial up connection.
I believe no country right now could achieve more than 100Mbps internet connection speed.
What I know is south korea have the fastest internet connection, average download speed is 20.5Mbps.
US, which is ranked 28th, could only manage average download speed of 5.1Mbps
Japan is second with 15.8Mbps
Sweden is third with 12.8Mbps
Netherlands fourth with 11Mbps

Its not 250 mbps bro, its 256 kbps.
For all those with questions over here...
The speed that your service provider says you'll be having is in kiloBITS per second and not in kiloBYTES. 1 kiloBYTE = 8 kiloBITS. So whatever you wonder your speed is, just divide it by 8 and thats what your download speed will be...
Mine is a 2MBPS (Megabits) broadband connection... that means I get a download rate of 256kbps (kilobytes per second)...

Well ya, I've observed that if there are parallel downloads then the total speed reaches to 200 or so. A single download reaches to around 130 or so. Overall, I'm happy with my speed...

I have a unlimited broad band speed of 512 mbps. It is not so fast, but it is O.K.Even though I want to go in for higher speeds, the cost of it is quite heavy and till the prices come down, I am sticking to this same speed.

Hey,
Whoa, that is really fast. Are you sure that you have a 256MB per second connection and not 256KB per second? But if you have it that fast, that is great! I personally only have a 20MB per second broadband connection though. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Are you sure its 250 mbps speed you are getting..because the main internet line that is given to the isp has a speed of 150 mbps i.e no internet connection can have a speed greater than 150 mbps.
Anyway my speed is 2 mbps with a night unlimited plan.

256 MBPS?! Are you sure must be 256 KBPS buddy. Because the highest broadband speed commercially available nowadays is about 100 MBPS. Here in my college we have have free wi-fi campus and we have speeds upto 56 MBPS. So I'm kind of enjoyin the super speed internet and that to free.
