There is a real big issue on the IT world that the OS developed by Apple Corp. is more secure than Microsoft's OS. That is the railing of Mac developer and sales used to say when promoting their product. But hey, I think that is not entirely accurate. I guess it's an overrated statement from a bias source.
For me, MAC OS are hackable and in fact, not hacker-proof. Of course, hackers and malicious malware developer go with the same reason--- money! And to have this money, they are targeting the OS where 3/4 of the entire earth's population use. That is simple economics.
I'm not against MAC for God sake. But I think it is overrated. Maybe MAC really didn't experience yet what Microsoft OS had but then again if this hackers and system penetrators will put their time on MAC, they will be a dead meat.

The Mac operating systems are more secure than Windows, for the same reasons that Linux or Unix systems are more secure. A very high percentage (I don't know exactly but it's probably something like 85-90%) of home computer users use Windows so 99% of the viruses, trojans, etc are written to be compatible with Windows. It is not that Macs are impervious to viruses, it's just that the viruses are not intended to work with the Mac OS.
But now you have the option of getting an Apple computer with the Mac OS eleven or with Windows Vista which, as far as I can tell, completely invalidates the reason for buying an Apple.
