I like to listen to a different type of music depending on my mood. If I'm angry I want something loud and/or violent so I listen to rock or hip hop/rap. Happy means I wanna dance so I lean toward R&b or pop. Mellow is either jazz or soul, and relaxing or cleaning is classical or gospel.

Dance music, makes me feel real good. Especially early in the morning I like listening and dancing to the rhythm. And before I get to bed I listen to acoustic music while reading my favorite book. It's just feels good, after long day or hard work and stress.

It can make me happy because it makes me want to dance. I hardly get sad listening to it but if it's a sad video I might shed a tear. (shh don't tell anyone I'm not a wuss or anything :)) You can learn from music take the ABC song for example enough said. And it does entertain me. Like right now I'm listening to the hamster dance remix techno not sure why but it's making me excited and I think I'm going to get up and dance in my living room.

I believe that music is a very powerful instrument. It can take you through different emotions, and it is also entertaining. If you think about it, it can bring back memories, good and bad, as well as make you happy, mad or sad. I also believe that music heals individuals. I know that some hospitals use music for those who are in a coma, as a way to keep them in touch with the outside world. So I believe that music is good for a number of things. Yes, you can also learn from music. Some things maybe not so great, but there are many good messages in music. In addition, to all of those other things, music is a way for people to express their emotions, and get their stories told. Music is everything to me personally so as you can see I'm a little biased.

Yeah I agree, there are some people who can't listen to a song without it reminding them of a previous relationship where they got hurt. And couples tend to have a song that they identify as their song and if they breakup it reminds them of the relationship or if they hear it whilst they are away from their partner it makes them think about them.

I love a wide range of music so I like to listen to a certain style of music for different reasons than I do another type. When I like to chill out I will listen to something smooth like Curtis Mayfield and when I like to listen to something a bit heavier I listen to stuff like Tool and Metallica. When I hear a new piece of music that I really love I get the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.
I listen to music everyday and usually listen before I go to bed, I really love the power of music to alter the way you feel.
