At last reached payout after 1+ year

I'm a member of Mginger.com, which is a 'Paid to receive SMS' site, for Indians only. I've joined this site last April (2008). It took more than one and half year to reach payout today and requested for it. I have 85 referrals there.
Of course it's very slow, but there is nothing I did except for signing up and referring.
What do you think? It's good or bad?

How much is your payout? If it is more than 1000, then it still acceptable but if you mean about 100, then sorry to say that it is just wasting time. One and half year is not a short time, you can make much better than that by doing some other thing

The payout is INR 300. Yeah, it's very slow, but as there is nothing I did except signing up and referring. And I didn't take much efforts to promote my link except participating in forums.
I think, most of my referrals would have changed their mobile numbers and wouldn't have updated in their profile and that should be one of the reasons for the slow earnings.

If want to earn, you need to work hard. Else, just leave it.
Not sure how much is RS300, but i think it is less than USD100. In this case, i wouldnt actually do this, just wasting time for small amount

It's way less than USD 100. (INR 300 equals $6 appx)
However, I did nothing to refer people except participating in discussions. (Basically I like to participate in discussions, so that was not a hard thing for me.) I signed up, create a link in my signatures & profiles and forgot it.
And I agree with you on If you want to earn, work hard for it. Very much true.

I think it not bad at all cos all you did was registering and referring some friends. But surely it is a very slow earning. BTW, how many sms do you receive per day?

Its great to know how referrals can really boost our earnings. But since, you don't need to do much just hope that you paid in the days to come also through this particular program. Good Luck

hey venkat.. it doesnt seem like a very great offer, does it? i mean 300 INR is very less, especially for the amount you would be spending for your internet and electricity costs.

Tell me if you are paid by them because hubby is a member too of that site and I don't think that we have referrals yet. How much again is their minimum payout. I am sure it is in rupees and it will be sent by check, right?

Yes. It took me one and half years to reach Rs.300. They pay by check only. Or we can redeem as discount coupons for shopping.
The referral count 85 is my first level only. There are around 30 referrals in second level. It's a very slow earner for me. The only thing is, there is no kind of taks we have to do except signing up.

Thank you.
I've just visited your blog, and it has most of the sites I'm already member of. You may know, I'm already into online earnings for about 2 years now. So, almost I'm member of all paying sites, except a very few since I feel overwhelmed.

Hi vc and congratulations on getting your payment,I am also is a member recently joined that site but unfortunately not getting any sms so can't express my feelings exactly, but as someone here said you need to refer metro people to earn more but it seems difficult for direct referring which is easy for this system because you have the choice of getting referrals through your online marketing putting lots of efforts so for me it is not going to be sweet but this is going to be like another silent stream of automatic income which gives pleasure when it comes like the peer which gives me 5$ per year but it comes like a clock time..and set once and forget I do nothing for this and get this money and its ok for me now the catch is think if you can set automatic income streams which need to be set just once and you get some money at the end of the year..and if you have found 100 streams giving just 5$ each it is a bonus of 500$ at the end of the year ,but you will surely not be able to get 100 streams in one day but do it one after one and you are creating residual money..once again congratulations

If you are doing it for a hobby, then it is absolutely no problem. But if you consider it on the part of rigorous earning, then i would say that it is not a worthy one to browse in.

I was just doing it for hobby only. And it's more appropriate to say we save our money instead of we earn. If we avail their discount coupons for our regular shoppings and restaurants, it could be more worth than what we think.

Even though I'm there at mginger, I feel its a total waste of time to recruit referrals to the site. If you use that time to recruit for some other site, you can reach payout within a week! Hence I don't promote that site. By the way please let us know if you are paid .

Yeah..I got the cheque today.
By the way, if you just ignore the earning part, mGinger is a great site that brings the local events into our mobile. I get SMS regarding discounts at Globus, and other similar malls. That's good, I think.

i too was a member of mginger (i guess i still am as i occasionally do get some sms) but it is really very slow. initially i used to get only 1 or 2 sms a month so i just abandoned it. but for you i guess there is no harm in continuing as you only have to read sms and also you do have some referrals.

its good but neither that good means neither bad nor too good. But making by just receiving sms doesn't bother anyone, if the site would have asked for sign up money than it had been a great blunder on your part but if sign up is free then whats the harm?
