abortions and the cops that protect those getting them

Last night watching the news I saw that in Nebraska they are getting ready to set up road blocks for a doctor that will be performing abortions real soon. When they interviewed the cop they asked him his opinion on it and he told them that it really didn't matter, he was there to protect the doctor and those having the procedure therefore he would be there to make sure nothing happens because that is "his job". They went on to talk about the abortion doctor in another state that was killed in the past and they wanted to make sure nothing like that happens there in Nebraska because no one deserves to die because they have a difference of opinion. My thought as the new cast was talking was how hard it must be for the cop if they are totally against abortion but yet they have to go out there that day, put there life on the line and protect the doctor and the people having this done even though they are totally against it. This is truly a person that is there to serve the community regardless of their feelings or beliefs. It made me wonder if I myself could do that or if I would try some how to get out of that assignment and put on another. These cops will be in the line of fire if something does go down and there to stop anyone protesting in a harmful way. They will be there to keep things running smoothly so that the doctor can perform his abortions, all of this will be done even if they don't feel it is right or the church they belong to is totally against it. When the new casts was over it not only made me feel that people out there put their jobs above their beliefs but it also gave me a higher respect for policemen and the fact that they are there to serve the public regardless of their beliefs and are truly dedicated to us.
