Ha, I only speak English, only write English - I have a language learning disability, so while I've tried to learn, German, Latin, Spanish and French, the best I can do is a few words and can't spell any of them - and without spell check I can't even spell very well in English...

I also believe I'm better in written communication than the oral, however responding to discussions and chatting with online friends improved my oral communications. I feel am getting better in oral communication as days passed and really getting online helps. Still I feel more comfortable in written communication but am glad I made improvements with my oral communication. I'm better in English language aside from my mother tongue.

I am very good either in written or oral communication and because of this, I have worked at several multi-international and call center companies. I also work as a freelancer writer at the moment. I am very fluent with English as my second language and Tagalog as my native language. I can also speak and understand other foreign languages but I only know the basics of Spanish, German and French.

I am very good in written communication in english than oral communication. In written communication i get time to correct my english using different tool like spelcheck even i can read sentence and make correction. In oral communication , i should have complete command over english then and then i can converse fluently.
But i am trying to improve my oral english too because both are advantageous for me in diffent situations.
i know gujarati, marathi, hindi and english, i am able to converse all language but i love english more then any other language and always thing to improve it. have a nice day!!

i am suffered from same issue. Most of the time fluency depends on my modd but normally i am not fluent in english. But discussion sites like mylot helped me a lot to improve my written communications. Even i speak in english with my children so i can teach them to speak in english as well as to improve my english. It is very much necessary to be in touch with language if you want to improve your language. have a great day!!

Yes, while writing we have more time to correct ourselves. But while talking we need fluency. I can communicate in the english but not fluently.

frankly speaking I'm not good in writing nor oral communication. This is one of the reasons why I joined mylot to practice those skills because my dad is a good speaker and my grandfather was a former plolitician and has a high respect in court. It's so shameful everytime they asked me how am I related to them. I know some basic spanish and nihongo/hiragana(my 7 year old brother thought me).

As far as english is considered Iam good at writing and i think we will be good at speaking our native language. Problems with oral communications comes with the languages that we learn and as far as native language is considered we will all be good at writing and oral as well.
And i can speak three languages telugu english and hindi and at present Iam learning french

I think I am able to do both but I can express myself well in writing since I am able to think my answer through unlike in oral communication, we to think impromptu and have to also think of who I am speaking to at that moment, how to phrase my words exactly so that the one I'm talking to will understand me completely. Unlike in writing I am writing to a general audience and not thinking of a specific person that I have to make myself understood.
I only know 2 languages my own native language, Tagalog or Filipino and English. I can converse well in both and I like both languages, I am of course most comfortable with my own native tongue but speaking my second language isn't too hard for me either.

I have done several presentations as part of my two degree courses, so I am confident and competent with writing and speaking in English, which is my first language.
I learned French at school, and I remember enough to get by when we travel through France. Last year, we moved to Spain, so I am in the process of learning Spanish. I can shop, order in restaurants and have a little small talk with the locals, but my aim is to be fluent enough in Spanish to sit down with the locals in our favourite bar and put the world to rights.

I only speak and write the english language. I do know some spanish but not nearly enough to speak it or write it. I do good with oral communications but I am much better with writing. Sometimes with oral communications I do tend to mix my words or meanings or sentences up because I either go to fast or I am thinking about other things while I am talking. For the most part I do good with it but if you ask me to write something out I can write anything pretty much perfectly.

Oh! Nice to see you. So, you are also from Tamil Nadu. That's really great to see some from my own state..
You are fluent in all 4 languages, that's fine. Do you have the chances for communicating in all languages? because communicating frequently only keep us fluent.
Have a great day.

Hi,
I am not good at witten english, much worse at verbal english. During the past two months on mylot, i had made some improvement on witten english.
I can speak two languages, English and my homelanguage Chinese. As to Chinese, it is very easy for me to use it, very familar with with it, but i am not very skilled on it.
As i can only use the two language, i have to say that english is my favorite language except my mother tongue.

I'm much better at writing than at speaking. I write best in English, and I can say that I speak it well. I was never good at writing or speaking in our national language. I am not good at writing or speaking Chinese either. I can understand well, but I wish I was better, even just at speaking.

I love the English language and I like to think that I have some skills in this area! I love to write and I guess by doing this as well as constantly reading, these two things improve my oral communication. I am only a one trick pony though when it comes to languages! I only speak English and have never had the opportunity to learn another language, I don't see a real need for this in relation to my own life. I do admire those that can speak several languages though, I'm sure that they are a real asset in certain walks of society. Andrew

I am fairly good at writing but when it comes to speaking, I tend to talk to fast. I am fluent enough in English. But since my speed is too fast, I may need to repeat certain part of my speech to make sure my audience understand what I am trying to say. I tried to slow down and it only last until I become excited to tell my story, which I unconsciously speed up again.

Yes, sometimes when we know too much we go faster assuming that the audience know something. The same thing happen to me among my friends when they have doubts in subjects and i explain them, but i have to repeat them another time as i am fast. But i am fast in my native language only. Not in the English.
Have a happy day.

I am actually really bad at oral communication in English, and it is my mother tongue! I am good at writing in English though, when I can set my mind to the task enough to complete it! I have tried to learn other languages in the past, most notable Japanese, but I can only manage a few words and then tend to get really confused and never get any further. If I could learn a language though it would be Japanese or maybe Mandarin since I want to visit China and Japan in the future so knowing the native language would be helpful :)
