I was 16 yrs old. I worked for a marketing research firm in our local mall.

I was sixteen when I was first paid with a check that had taxes taken out of it. Prior to that I did odd jobs for neighbors and was paid in cash and did not have to share it with a bunch of lazy politicians who like to take people's hard earned money to waste.
