Recurring Dream About Choking on Chewing Gum?

I hope I am not the only person who has this dream...
I can never remember where I am exactly in the dream. What happens is, I'm chewing gum in the dream and I spit it out. At least I try to spit it out. The gum grows and I am continuosly pulling at it and trying to spit it out until finally I start to choke. I wake up right when I can't breathe anymore. I have this dream maybe once or twice a month.
Has anyone else had this dream? What do you think it means?

Sounds like an unresolved problem - a "sticky" problem - is troubling you.
Like the gum, you wantto get rid of it but you can't, and it'ssuffocating you. All the time you keep it inside you, it gets bigger ... and bigger ...
Think of things that might be bothering you. Could be it's a relationship issue. Your subconscious is telling you to ditch something in your life before you're consumed by it.
On that note, I'm off to bed.

I had to read as many of the responses to this discussion before I decide to post my own response. And when I came to your answer or response, it left me completely dumbfounded. I couldn't have been more precise myself. Actually, I wanted to say the same thing you just said, but I just couldn't the words together. Jazzsue. I completely agree with you.

yes I have like the same dream the gum gets stuck to my teeth and I try to spit it out then it goes down in my throat and I start choking I try pulling it out with both hands real fast and it just keep stretching and stretching like it has no ending I am choking and gasping and I cannot breath

Weird dreams :) well, the dreams are mostly weird and funny. But they seem so horror when we actually experience it in the sleep.
Well, I think you should stop chewing gum if you do. You should also start meditating before you go to bed.

Even I have some dreams which are quite starnge. I can tell you this that this dream has some meaning with your life. It means ansd it tells you what will happen in your future. I don't know the meaning of your dream so I can't tell you. But our dreams are related to our life.
