Im not sure, but i think i read on one of David's statements how his brother became the target of his mother's abusive ways. He also wrote a book... is this true? has anyone read that book? or did I read wrong..
let me know, i'd like to read that book as well...

I've read the book but can't really say if its true or not.
Though I don't doubt that such things could actually happen in real life.
As they say, fact is stranger than fiction.
What happened to David could have actually happened in real life or not. When I read the book there's a part of me that just won't believe but another part of me that says otherwise.

I've heard this before. I guess you like believing there are more good people than bad, but as horrid as it sounds there are cases that are simply horrible. I saw a documentary on a little girl named Brianna Lopez from Las Cruces New Mexico. She was 6 months old and had been abused her entire life. Her parents were young idiot kids who physically abused her until they killed her. It's disgusting to hear these things but they do happen.

I read the book years ago, and i read the sequel from when David was an adult (I can't remember what it was called, I'll have to look it up), but yes. From what I read, as the older boys got out through child services, she would start to pick on the younger ones, until she eventually ran out of children.

I've never heard that any of the other children wrote a book before, but I do remember something in one of his books about how he found out that the others also got abused sometimes. But not to as great of an extent I guess.
That is just crazy that someone could do such things.

yes, it's true that his brother, richard pelzer, wrote a book as well. A Brother's Journey. I read it and it was just as horrible as Dave Pelzer. By horrible, I mean I can't believe that the mother had custody even after the authorities took Dave away. The abuse still continued for Richard.

Yeah, it's true. His brother went through the same treatment as the author of A Child Called It. I read his brothers book for a project and I'm thinking it's called "A Brothers Journey" good luck finding it. It's a good read!
