Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk : not for the squeamish and soft-hearted

I make it a point to finish a book a month, just so that I could vary my reading fare. Haunted, an old Chuck Palahniuk novel, was my recent acquisition.. and the source of my previous disgust. It's a story of 13 novelists, all shacked up in one house, each commissioned to stay there for three months just to write a story. Now it seems innocent being described in this manner, but I tell you, it would take guts to finish the book. Going so far as the first few pages of the story was enough to give me nightmares; if you're the type to gravitate towards blood and gore, then this book is for you.
Just would like to know if anyone else have read the book, or if someone had already finished it 'till the end. (I offer my congratulations).

Strangely enough, I have started reading this too.
I got it as a gift a few Christmases ago because somebody knew I was a big Palahniuk fan, and I must say, it is compelling stuff
I'm finding it hard to put down. Though I must agree, it is MOST CERTAINLY NOT for the faint-hearted or the particularly sensitive reader
