Recommend some non-Western music please

I have a pretty extensive knowledge of Western music, I am interested in expanding my musical vocab to include more music from other parts of the world. Can people please recommend some artists that I could give a try?

If you are interested in some of the Japanese music world, I think learning about 'ENKA" might be fun. "ENKA" is like Japanese version of country music.
