That's a pretty good point - it wouldn't help our self confidence if we watch our weight every single day. Besides, weight loss often happens over a period of days, not over night :)
In addition to that, it's actually not healthy to depend on weight alone. For figure conscious people like me, it's best to watch your size -- especially your waist line, instead of your weight. It just so happens that fat is light and muscles are heavy. So if you exercise and build muscles along the way, you'll get thinner but not necessarily lighter :)

You're right, I'd really like to snap out of it. I'm going to start working out next week, so yeah I hope I get to stick to it. This time around, i'm focusing on toning and the visible results LOL, no more manic weight watching for me.

and they say, water can also make our weights fluctuate. and what it matter is the inches. muscles are heavier than fat. so measure by the inches instead of by weight. i need to also haul myself back to gym.
happy mylotting!

I weigh myself twice a day, once in the morning after I wake up and once at night after I have dinner. If I overeat, I want to know about it. It sounds funny but I gain more weight on vacations where I have no access to a scale.

Hi mymelodake,
I checked my weight long before I think at least two bears before. I delivered my second son and put on weight that time. But I know now I lost much weight so no tension on gaining weight. I can understand if somebody on overweight then really wishes to reduce the weight that is why checking frequently even if it won’t help.

Yeah.. sometimes you just need to know. And knowing that you'd lost, even just a little, can really help motivate.

Hi there, well i dont weigh myself more often. As far as i remember the last time i do this was 3 months ago. I am not really curious about my weight. I am just alarm if my pants was hard to wear but if there is no problem like this i dont think to see my weight. I dont know if there is right time to weigh yourself, anyway keep on mylotting

Hey there! I don't weigh myself that much. I just do it because I feel like knowing my current weight. However, if you really want to know how your weight is holding up, it's best to do this at the same time of day. The clothes you wear should also be more or less the same (in weight-go for those flimsy ones) and there's nothing wrong with taking your weight daily. In sever cases of malnutrition or eating disorders, patients are weighed everyday to measure their progress. Good luck!
