since i hate to exercise, what i do to lose weight is to go for dance classes 2 times a week and eat lesser for dinner. since i heard that you are supposed to eat 4 hours before sleeping, i try to eat early and not overeat. i will usually eat half a plate of rice, and on the days i have dance, i will just eat the dishes and keep the rice. since rice is there to fill your stomach, i think leaving it out of my meals is fine if you have enough! a classmate of mine eats 2 plates of rice per meal, and even after that, she is still hungry! what i envy about her is that she does not look heavy! i really wish i was more like her!
how about you? how do you plan to lose weight?

Personally from what I have learned in order for a person to be able to loose some weight it is learning to excercise some, as well as the type of foods you eat and how they react with your metabolism as well. I am also trying to loose weight and have found that Food plays a big part on how well I can do or not. I know that if you eat a lot of Fruits and vegetables that is a good thing, and can help with weight issues for sure. But you also need to remember portion sizes will help you out as well.

I think that the best way to lose weight is eat right and exercise. Count your calories, and make sure they are good calories you are eating. I need to learn to eat when I am hungry and not when I am bored, stressed, or upset. I think baby steps are the right way to do things so you change it for life and not just for a week or two.

Hello raclie, I'm just like you. Hate to exercise. Love to eat. But I notice lately that if I don't eat after 7pm, I lose a little weight. But now is the fasting month and we break our fast a little after 7pm and eat as early as 4am to prepare for our fast.
Actually fasting doesn't really help you lose weight if when you break your fast you tend to over-eat. I wish I could get myself to exercise but no motivation. I used to walk a lot like 2-3 hrs a week and that help me in losing weight. In fact I was at it for 6 months and I lost like 10kg and I didn't even went on a diet. I ate whatever I want. So I think that if you exercise, you can eat whatever you want but I think the keyword here is moderation.

I would eat more fruits and vegetables than carbohydrates. As long as you burn more calories than you take in, you should lose weight. It takes a while after you start eating the right things to see a difference. I am currently losing weight too, I have to really pay close attention to what I am eating. I have to stay away from desserts. I have to exercise. I love riding my bike, going for a run, dancing, doing aerobics, etc.
