dear friends, in our personal life we use mothertounge. in mylot we have to use English, the global language. in my experience, i have the problem with the expression of my views in english. i have a little fluency, a few word stocks and that is the main problem that i am encountering to share my views.
in mylot, i have suffered a lot. i found my views something different to my expression. few days ago, a confliction happened with a mylotter. i overlooked some words of his response and i commented back to him. after his comment i realized it and felt guilty myself.
please help me.
bye.....

Hello partha. I guess we all have the same problem if we are not using English as our main language. I, myself have a dilemma on expressing what i truly feel. But when you spend most of your time here, you can slowly improve through reading and writing responses and comments. Before, it was also a struggle for me to post. But when i am always here online, and react to discussions, i begin to notice that my vocabulary is rising. And my discussions took other member's interest. Try to practice more here and i am sure you will speak English like a pro.

most members in mylot have the same problem. like you, most members have difficulty in English since this isn't their first language (or what you call the mothertongue). Its a matter of practice. it is difficult to express yourself in english when you are not used to such language.
The only thing i could suggest is for you to keep practicing. Eventually, you'll learn more and feel a lot more confident with your english proficiency. Read more, watch more english movies and shows, practice your english. You'll never know. hope that helps.

English is my second language too. Even for the last 10 yrs , I use it everyday. But I know I still have problem in expressing my self in fluent English. Even at home, a lot of times I start mumbling in my mothertongue to express my frustation. All my hubby understand is that I'm upset. hahaha...it's funny too, that they try to catch what I said, but after 5 minutes they know Mommy's upset or Mommy's angry.

You live, you learn. The language must be in English on myLot because it is a common language that is accepted around the world. Many people on myLot are very open and understanding, especially when people are trying to learn this difficult language. If you make an error, learn from it, and learn what you can to avoid the error in the future.

The number of English words limit your expression,Yeah? So you need to accumulate English words normally. If you would know Chinese that'll OK,because I know a Chinese English teacher is good at teaching English, his method I think is very special,he is teaching not only something about English but also method that maybe used into anything. What makes me stranger is you're an India, how could you learn or speak English not very well?
