I apply fairness cream daily. I have kind of dark skin and want to become fair. I think I will look better with fair skin. On the other hand, my husband has white skin and he wants to get tan. How about you?

I have a wheatish complexion and my husband has white skin.I have never applied fairness creme on my face because i know that i am born with this color and nothing on earth can change it.Initially i too got comments for my skin from my in laws but now they really like me as a person from inside and not outside.

That is a great response. The same situation applies for me. I have wheatish flavor and my husband has white skin. I like to become fair and apply fairnes cream daily, but my husband likes tan, but he doesn't apply any cream. He goes out to beach or sun to get tan. My husband likes my color and he doesn't expect me to become more fair. But, I do apply cream because I like to become fair.

I do not apply any fairness creams now...I used those during my college days...but now I feel that keeping the skin healthy is more important...drinking lots of water and eating fruits really helps...also good amount of sleep also makes your skin glow..creams though make you look fair for the moment they are not permanent but create permanent damage to your skin. So get rid of them at the earliest...happy mylotting :-)

Nope, I don't use or apply any fairness cream or any whitening product on my skin. I live in a tropical country and I am already tan colored sort of. I am always exposed to the sun and hitting the beach weekends. So I am contented with the skin color I was born with.

That is nice to hear that you are happy with your skin color. Usually people across the globe have the tendancy to whiten their color. They think that white color looks good. I think I need to change my opinion so that I can save teh money I spend for the fairness cream. It is really expensive. Thanks for teh resposne.

I do apply thrice a weeks that is to makes my face look smooth. I apply it after I used cleansing liquid like an astringents to remove the dirt and oiliness in my face up to my neck. Then, after it, I apply the whitening cream. This is my beauty rituals and i do apply moisturizing cream and lip balm in my lips to avoid dryness, too..

I also use moisturizer and lip balm once in a while. I used to use cleansing liquid before applying fairness cream, but now a days it is very difficult to find time for that in my busy schedule. I come back to home after work aonly at 10 pm and I have to leave to office at 8:30 in the morning. So, I hardly find time to sleep. I need to take care of my skin too.

I am relatively fair in colour and hence i never have the necessity to apply fairness cream. In my opinion, I would like to prefer a dark skin since it protects you from skin related diseases and other ailments. Hence even I'd prefer a tan skin rather than having a white skin. Have a great day and happy mylotting. Cheers:-)

That is something new to me that kind of dark skin protects you from skin related issues. If so, I should be happy with my wheatish complexin and I don't have to waste money on fairness cream. I am fine with the color, but I still have the tendencey to increase the fairness. Thanks for the response.

It is good if you can stay away from fareness cream. If you have good color and you are fine with it, don't use any cream. Applying chemicals to face is no way good to your skin. I used to apply a lot of talcum powder when I was a kid. Now, I stopped using it because it seems the chemicals of talcum powder is harm to our face. Thanks for the response.

hi daliaj and why do you want to be fair, I am fair and every time I want to go out in the sun if I do not slather on sunscreen I get badly sunburned. I would love to be a little darker like my table mate Perla who comes from the Phillipines and she is very lovely with warm darker skin.but I am an American with ancestors from Ireland, England and Scotland,my parents were both very light skinned plus I am anemic which does not help any. I am very white skinned and have white hair and dark blue green eyes. You sound like you are an Indian and would have darker skin than me and that would protect you from sunburn also are you not proud to be an Indian, I know I am proud of my country America.

I had really fair skin when i was a teenager, but now at the age of 21 after a lot of traveling my forearms, my fist and my face has got a little tanned. I don't use tan removal creams. But I make sure I use moisturizers to keep my skin hydrated and healthy all day. Also it gives nourishment to the skin and prevents acne and other skin problems like blackheads and pimples.

I use mosturizers, but not daily. Yes, it is important to keep the skin healthy. I don't have the problem of pimples, but of course blackheads. Do you think coutinous use of moisturizers will help to prevent blackheads? I am very busy now a days with work and I don't really find enough time to take care of my skin. Thanks for the response.
