Is life imprisonment is a good altenative to capital punishment?

I bet loads of people have mixed views on this, I personally would say it is totally dependant on the circumstances though. For example, if it was one murder, than I think it should be imprisonment, but if it was several more, than I think capital punishment would probably be the right punishment for them, if they are prepared to take many lives, then they shouold expect to lose their own afterall. But stil, there should also be conclusive evidence too, as wrongly killing an innocent person... well, that's just worse.

Well, it depends how you look at the justice system, if you see this facility as a punishment then some actions may deserve capital punishment but if you see this system as a correction facility then capital punishment is not an option.
