i got a ring yesterday

my boyfriend bought me a beautiful engagement ring. I'm so happy, mind you we can't get married cause his ex wife won't sign the divorce papers but he just wanted to show me that he is comitted and we are still going to wear rings.
I had to take it in to get sized though so i'm with out it for a week which is killing me. i can't wait to wear it. He also bought me a diamond band ring a while back when we were just best friends and he took that in to get resized to wear on the same finger with my engagement ring. that way it shows from best friends to relationship. how cute is that.

Even if she doesn't sign he can still get divorced. He can present his case in front of a judge and the judge can approve the divorce without her signature. He should talk to his lawyer I know it'll cost more to do it that way, personal experience, but it's worth it and then you guys can move on with your lifes. Congrats on the ring and it's nice to see you guys are happy. Everyone deserves happiness. Goodluck and be happy.

Thanks for the info. Maybe eventually we will look into it. we are not in a hurry right now. We discussed the fact that we know we are together and that's good for both of us for now. We actually discussed changing my last name too. you can still do that in a common law relationship. we'll see what happens. thank you

Now that is so very pleasing to hear.Honestly, it brought a smile onto my face. :)
I can really understand how happy you appear and for a second I just thought about my girlfriend (when I would present her our wedding ring that is ).
