False advertising by celebrites

I agree blue65packer. Celebrities have a lot of fan following. These fans love them for all their characters in the movies/television serials, as well as their personal lives. Even if they are wrong like it was in case of MJ, the fans forgive them. In return for such unconditional love, what do these celebrities offer? Indifference? If things were seen exactly like that - people would also become indifferent to them. I wish they would treat their fans as possible neighbors in their old age, or possibly somebody who would help their children in school. That way the relationship would seem more personal to them - and they would be more cautious about what they are promoting. As things stand, they are indifferent to what happens to their fans, as if it was so easy to get them in the first place.

I've read about Victoria Beckham who is the spokesperson for some jeans company but she admitted she doesn't like the jeans produced by the company. She doesn't even wear the company's jeans. That to me is like so hypocritical. She was, however, urged by the company to wear their jeans. I don't know if she heed the advice. I don't know why these companies hire celebs to promote their products. I personally won't purchase products which have celebs endorsements because I know it'll be overpriced to make up for the millions of dollars the company had to pay the celebs.

Well, I guess the best way to handle this is to not patronize the product that they're endorsing. I guess not all celebrities adhere to their product. What we need to do is just stop using what they're using or try a different brand.
