Themoneysavingexpert.com is a brilliant site from Martin Lewis, who is....a money saving expert!
It contains different sections from freebies to credit card advice, from babies to banks.
I have been on this site for a while and I would Highly recommend it!

Hey there acesand8s, welcome to mylot and happy mylotting. I have not visited this site, but I will certainly take a look today itself. It seems to be a good site to know. Thanks for the information.

Let me also welcome you to mylot, I think you will find this a fun place to earn.
No I have never visited that site, but I certainly will now. It sounds great. I used to view sites like that a lot, I should start doing it again. I like a site called the couponmom.com. It has a lot of money saving grocery ideas, and online coupons that can save you a great deal of money.
Thanks for the information on the site. I am going to check it out.

Hello, and welcome to Mylot. I discovered the site a couple of years ago, and I receive the weekly newsletter. I've saved a lot of money over that time, but I think the single most helpful piece of advice was about paying off credit card debts. Many people have the idea that unless they can make a big payment, it's not worth bothering. However, there is a calculator there that demonstrates that, even by paying a small amount over the minimum payment, you can drastically reduce the time it takes to pay off your balance. At the end of each month, even if I only have £10 or £20 extra to spare, I uaw it to pay a little more on one of my cards.
Another good piece of advice I picked up was this. When you transfer balances to cards with lower interest rates, ask what the minimum payment will be. Say the minimum payment is £50, don't opt to pay the minimum each month, ask the card company to fix your payment at £50 per month. After all, if you can afford it this month, you can afford it every month, and again, it's amazing how this relatively painless exercise will shorten the time it takes to repay the balance.

I am not a member there as i dont often have time to contribute anything of real value but i do check the site every week or so to see what is happening. I particularly like the freebies section and check that to see whats on offer, i also use another website called talkfreebies to see what they have on offer, im pretty good when it comes to managing my money anyway but im a bit of a sucker for freebie websites. Moneysavingexpert is a great site, i like to watch him on GMTV some mornings.
