Does Obama really deserve to be the first african american president?

I've been wondering,does Obama really deserve to be the first african american president? Because lately i've been hearing a lot of people talking about how obama hasn't been keeping his promises, or he hasn't taken action on a lot of them. What do you think?

Personally , I don't have nothing against Obama , But if he won't keep his promises , people will never trust him again!!! good luck
