Tell me about your writing and what you are looking to get published. Do you need help trying to get published?

If I'm jumping to the wrong conclusion, I apologize, but this sounds like the opening for a scam. You say you have advice, but you don't give any. It sounds as if you're fishing for potential clients, especially those who know nothing about publishing a book and will not know what questions to ask or be able to detect something fishy. You just signed up here, are only 22 (not exactly room for a whole lot of experience in the publishing field), this is your very first discussion, and you give absolutely no information about yourself, all of which makes it look even more suspicious. Of course, you could just be trolling, or don't yet understand how to write a discussion.

I was thinking the same thing.

Thirded! Then again, I'm always very hesitant when people start saying things like "I have great advice!" and then don't bother to share any of it with the rest of us common folk. Especially when the person saying it doesn't give any information about themselves... hm.

I wrote a children's book a couple of years ago. I have tried to self publish, but had problems doing so. Tips or any help is appreciated. As far as self publishing is concerned, I realized it takes money, which I don't have. a couple of websites let you publish for free, but there is the purchase of ISBN number. I would love to be able to find a publisher, who would actually review my book and give an honest opinion, however I have read that most publishers just return your script unopened.
