Hi, I once owned and operated and in-home daycare business. Because you are dealing with care of children you have to go through county inspections. They come out to inspect the property for hazards on the interior and exterior of the property. They will not issue a license until all code are met. I was fortunate enough to be granted my license after the very first inspection. After the business was up and running, for ten years, there were many unannounced visits from county officials and food service inspectors, but thank God I was always in compliance with the rules.
