And to think how much I admired and liked this actor. Hes been a favorite for years. have you heard about this with Morgan Freeman? you know when I was a child there was a wonderful actress, Gloria Graham, that married her step son after a divorce. It ruined her career. It’s being reported that actor Morgan Freeman, 72, has intentions of marrying E’Dena Hines, his 27-year-old step-granddaughter, once his divorce is finalized. Family sources claim that the affair between Morgan and E’Dena has been on-going for nearly 10 years. This is the young woman, who, Freeman and his wife (they are now separated, set to divorce) Myrna, 68,raised since she was a young child. I get that there is no blood relation but seriously, how, at 72, can you want to be with a woman so young (*shudder*) and who has been raised as YOUR GRANDCHILD (*double shudder*)? Freeman, once his divorce is final, will wed the young woman. “Morgan has led her to believe that he wants to marry her,” said a family insider. “Becoming Mrs. Morgan Freeman has been E’Dena’s goal.” Freeman’s estranged wife admits she and Morgan have not slept together for several years and they had an open marriage, both having other partners during the course of their marriage. However, Morgan allegedly having s*x with E’Dena as a teen (and Myrna finding out about it later), and then the two continuing with a relationship, was too much for Myrna and she apparently thought that that crossed a line, and filed for divorce. Um, ya I’d say a very, very, very big line was crossed! You know, if a couple want to have an open marriage, then hey, whatever floats your boat. I just don’t get how you can be romantically involved with someone you have known as a child, they are family (blood or not, CREEPY), and are considered your granddaughter. Can you imagine their family get togethers? AWKWARD.

I love Morgan Freeman as a actor. He is great. But I guess what you say has alot of truth in it. But I guess alot goes on behind actors/actresses doors that we don' know or will never know about that we might think as weird and totally nuts and off their rocker... He is at the age now where he wouldn't have to worry about his acting career cause if it did flush..he'd still be wealthy enough to carry on till he passed away.Where you hear this news at?

Thanks for the link, I appreciate it..I know love comes in all sizes, ages, shapes and forms..but that one was a bit to close to home for them since they raised her as a granddaughter she should be thought of as one. If the affair been going on 10 years then she was only 17 way to young for a relationship like that and with someone whom they was raised as a granddaughter to..makes me want to ask where his morals are in this even if no blood relation.

I know nobody is perfect..and we all do wrong..what one think is okay another thinks of as wrong it happens everywhere..But maybe it is wise not to marry his first wife's granddaughter.

Stranger things have happen. Stuff like this happens to us regular people too. I just dont get why when a celebrety or a polotican does it, it suddenly seems so strange and gossipy. Everyone is entitled to their private lives no matter how twisted things get. As long as nobody was breaking the law....whatever!!!

I dont believe there are laws regulation marrying someone who is of great age difference. As long as both are legal age. I dont believe there are laws against faithfulness of marriage either. Even if we know the later is wrong i dont believe its a law.

in USA its a law that under 18 its statutory rape. its been said this thing has went on for 10yrs. do the math. and we have no idea how long hes been looking at her in this way. i mean just think about how very many pediphiles we have out there today and probably through time. yes, it does happen, but i still feel its sick sorry.

BUT, it seems there may have been a law broken, but being a celeb would likely get him away with that to.

He's getting on a bit, who knows what he was going to leave his, er, step-grandaughter in his will? Not as much as whoever he's married to at the time he pops his clogs, I'll be bound... I see dollar signs in her eyes, and a twinkle in his. A lot worse has happened in life - but Norfolk's not as well known as Hollywood. Best of luck to the old goat, say I.

hello bunny bon, They're Celebrities alright. they maybe good in their roles in recent movies but there's always a real big difference in real life. just like this one. it's their life, no matter how immoral and disgusting it maybe. it's both of their fault because they're into this open marriage that destroyed the last bit of that marriage...

That's a very good point. If they don't respect their marriage, if it's in name only, how can we expect him to respect the bonds of family?

I just know Morgan freeman as an actor, but i never know he has such a weird and creepy plan and intention. If this is not happened to him, maybe to someone else, the newspaper head title '72 year old man married his step granddaughter', This is just ridiculous. As yous said the relationship has been on for nearly 10 years, this means that Morgan freeman hit on his own granddaughter when she was 17?? Even they have no blood connected, but it just creepy! Morgan freeman is not my favorite actor, but i watch a lot of his movie. but now, I feel gross, whenever i see him, i can't forget the matter about him with his granddaughter. it just gross and weird!!

Oh my is this true?? Suddenly I felt disappointment on Freeman and I'm going to erase him from my list of good actors in Hollywood. I thought he was respectable but with this plan of getting married to his grandchild, yeah, it's creepy and disgusting. It's even more disgusting to the grandchild calling your granpa suddenly your hubby? Ugh.. I can't imagine why Freeman has to do it. He is already an established actor and I'm sure he'll find someone more appropriate with his age to be his wife. I think the grandchild could be after the money too. Could be.

What image could she after for?? She made a bad image for herself and Freeman already. I hope the marriage won't push through. It would be a bad move for Freeman and that might destroy his career.

Hi there bunnybon7 I have not as yet heard this news until now and it is so, so wrong on many levels. You say that 'how, at 72, can you want to be with a woman so young' well I don't understand how a woman of that age would want to be a man his age! It is very wrong that even though they are not blood related they have a grandfather - granddaughter relationship. Wrong, wrong, wrong!! I don't think that he must have decided that he is going to retire from acting now as I am sure he isn't going to get much work after this.

Whats the big deal? she's only related by marraige not by blood. he has broken no laws (unlike FAR to many hollywood type) & if the girl is in it for the money - he isnt stupid - he probably knows and either doesnt care or has planned for it. as for his marraige; even his wife said it was basically a sham for many years - the reason she finally wanted the divorce wasnt because he was with someone else (SHe said they Both had other partners)it was more a matter of it being public now & probably didnt like that in the least bit. besides if she divorces him she can do her damnest to clean out his bank account before the new wife gets her hands on his money. the shame of the whole thing is that a bunch of prudes will be vocal about him and forget what an amazing talented man he is. besides if a man his age can keep a young woman happy-- good for him!! (good for her too lol)

I always said that if I wanted to be rich, I should marry a 70-80 yr old man, with one foot in the grave, and having alot of money....but I don't think it would be my step grandfather...Eech!

I am not sure why it bothers you so much, they both are adult and grown up. They are not saints who someone has to look up to define their moral codes. Law gives them the right to live the life of their choice and how do we know what they share between themselves and may be there is care and understanding between them. I guess we should avoid gossiping and let them live their lives as they wish to.

NOW they are both adult, but the report says she may not have been. also, this is what they give up when people become famous. its the sacrifice they make by having people gossip and be up in their business!!

I have read other information that this is just rumor and not true. That these rumors are based on the "mysterious" woman in the car with Mr Freeman when he had his accident (after which the divorce was filed). And that these rumors have floated around before and have not been substantiated. I never believe what I read anymore or even what I hear on the news until I have seen the facts in several places. So much crap going around out there. Here is where I found the other side of this rumor: www.blogher.com/morgan-freeman-does-msn-link-make-it-real-news

I think that is pretty tacky, his step granddaughter?????? And to have been having an on going thing since she was 17,how disgsting. I am sure there are many women his age or close to his age that he could have had a fling with, but compared to his age a CHILD. I am sure she has called him daddy or poppa at some point. Some men do not think with their minds. I will be looking at him in a different way from now on. the yound lady probably has not had much experience with other men, since he has been with her since she was a teenager. Bad move Morgan!!!!!!!
