Hello guys, I just realized now that since at my younger years (high school years), I love to have women friends than men. Why I do this, it is because in my own way of thinking, women can easily be go with, mostly they are more serious when it comes to sincerity in feelings and most of all mostly has soft heart compared mostly to men. That's why I prefer mostly women friends...
How about you guys, which would you prefer most men or women...?

Believe it or not this woman prefers to have men as friends and the majority of mine are. You would think that since I live in a house with a husband and 3 sons that I would crave to want to be around women but I don't. I have always felt more comfortable around guys. I seem to be able to kid with them better, joke around about stuff and I am just more at ease. I have female friends but the majority of the time I am in a group of men. i think the other reason I prefer men is because they are upfront. Women seems to worry to much about putting on a show, making sure their makeup looks good, and that they are impressing everyone. I am nothing like that and could care less whether someone like the way I look or not so therefore I like to be around the guys who could care less. Also I don't trust women very much. There are many that will lie to your face and even try to take your man from you. For that reason I tend to stay away from them and be with someone that will tell you straight up when you miss them off. So I am all for the men.....

My husband is my bestfriend. My friends I spend time with are women. I work with women, but I do not like them. They have been very judgmental and critical of anyone who is not like them. It amazes me how ignorant they are to others who are different from them.

I have friends of both genders. It as nothing todo with gender but with the person. I have some very good female friends and then there are a few females I know that I often wonder if they are carbon based, I just can't even carry on a conversation with them.
I have many male friends but some males drive me nuts. One guy I work with periodically just wears me out.

I think I prefer male friends. Girls are also fun to talk with. But when I am with my male friends we tend to have more fun and plenty of laughs. The other problem is that when a boy gets close to a girl, it is assumed to be love rather than just friendship.

Well i use to prefer male friends more than female friends, but now i have stopped making any friends and i am happy to be alone most of the time because everyone mostly just betray and lie a lot, i have seen it and i prefer staying alone now, so now i dont have friends hardly leaving few of my oldies which are females only.

I feel sorry for that. Maybe your kindness had been abused by some of your friends. I think you must not close your door about your friends...friend comes and some may go...but you must select a good quality of friends...thanks for responding..

Now, I have more women friends than men. Its not that i choose to but i just ended up having more women friends during college days and we are still in contact with each other. but i remember though during my high schools days, my friends were mostly male. I remember we would walk the streets and i was the only woman in the group. Im not a tomboy but i just like how i can talk to these people. My husband also told me that he has more female friends, and i saw it on pictures. I think that just how the way it is. I think it also changes as a person changes though time.

I am a girl, and I think that both men and women friends are OK to me. With women friends, you could share your inner heart with them, it seems that I could share more things with women friends. And with men friends, I will feel excited sometimes. Have a nice day!

I am good friends with both and obviously its a bit different when you are hanging with them. Guy friends for example can have great fun when together. When a bunch of good guy friends hang they are as carefree as they can be and are just enjoying themselves. On the other hand it is very easier having meaningful conversation with women, like many pointed out before me, they are more honest and actually 'listen' to you.
Each have their pros and cons but i have learned that i am not supposed to judge my friendship on the basis of the gender of the person as long as you are comfortable with the person. For me, I am comfortable with both, men and women.

In my opinion, I wouldn't choose a friend based on gender. Its more attributed to the fact of how well we both go together and how much our frequency matches.
You never know who is round the corner with whom you might have a life long friendship - a him or a her. But do not let the gender jeopardise a true friendship.
