Hi Hippie_Ashley,
Welcome to mylot.
You earning here is base on your activities. If you are active, you will earn more. There no fix amount you can earn. Some people easily earn a dollar or even 2. But since no one knows how our earning calculated, it is hard to tell.
The most important thing here is your posts must have QUALITY. One quality post might earn you more then 10 no-quality posts. Try to be informative and helpful in your posts.
Don't post or join any discussion that violated the guidelines. If you do so and that discussion being deleted, you earning will be deducted. Please feel free to read the guidelines and FAQ if you didn't read it yet.

If you want to earn more, do some tasks. Look at the "tasks" tab above. There are a lot of tasks available there. Some task especially the writing tasks offer a nice amounts.
Beside that, try to get referrals. You earn 25% bonus from your referrals earnings. If they are active, you will earn a lot from them.
This is not a rich scheme. So, don't expected that you can get rich here. But you will enrich your knowledge and make a lot of friends from all around the world. Just have fun and funds will come to you.
Welcome again and have a pleasant journey here.

Just want to add some more...
When you started a discussion, please have a courtesy to comment on the responses your discussion received. You will earn from your discussion once your discussion received your first responder. But that's all you earn automatically from your discussion. If you want to earn more, you have to comment every responses that you received. Your comment must have Quality in it. Thank you comment will not earn you anything. One or two sentences comment most probably would earn you anything too.

Well thank you for letting me know. I have a job and a life so I don't plan to be on here all the time. I thought this site would be something fun to join since I am opinionated and like others to know how I feel on a discussion they have posted, when I need something to do.

Welcome to MyLot, and thanks for responding to my discussion about loud music.
A little secret. If you can make 75 responses a day of 4 lines or longer, you should make around $1. I tried that every day for a month, and made just over $30. Also, upload photos to tagged interests (I looked at your profile and see that you've gotten the hang of tagged interests), and get cents that way. you don't get paid for the photos you upload to your profile, but you do to the ones uploaded to tagged interests. also, post quality respones, and hope other members whose discusses you've posed to, will give you best responses. Those should help too.
Start quality discussions that people will want to respond to in appropriate interests.
OK i know that was more than you asked, but not only did I answer the question, I gave you some good earning tips too.
And have you looked at the tasks yet? I did a few today, and got paid for them.

Thank you Danishcanadian for actually going into more detail and giving me some very helpful tips. I sit in front of a computer all day at work, and 75 responses should not be too hard, if I'm not to busy at work ;) Oh yeah thank you very much for adding me as your friend!
