Hello mylot friends, I am a breastfeeding mom and recently my son has already two teeth coming out. This made breastfeeding a little bit difficult. My son will always bite me and it hurts. I don't know how to stop him from doing this again and again. I shouted and told him that mommy feels pain. But he will just do it again next time. So, i wonder is there any method to stop this? Pls share with me your experience.

I hate to tell you this but it's time to stop nursing. Babies don't really suck, they gum the nipple kind of like chewing. Your son is just doing what his instincts tell him to do and you're not going to be able to stop it. They squeeze the nipple with their gums, they don't "suck". When my sons got teeth I knew it was time to stop and they did very well. They're 20 and 21 now and rarely ill, they are well adjusted young men. Time to start the cereal and baby foods!

When a baby starts to teeth breaking, it might bite whatever available to ease his teeth band. How about give him a biscuit, or rubber comfort, so that he feel comfortable, and mom is not the victim.

Hi, zhuhuifen You are right, mother is not the victim. Mother should enjoy nursing and at the same time does not take away the right of baby to be nursed. After your response, i gave my baby the teething rusk. He liked to chew on it. It's different that last time that we offered him. Perhaps at that time the teeth had not come out yet. We gave him too early that made us think that he did not like it at all. Nowadays, he really wants to bite whatever in front of him. I will prepare the teether for him to ease his discomfort. Thanks for the suggestions. Have a nice day!
