Whose life is better? A businessman's is a around the clock job. He is embroiled in many tense situations. Right from having to invest his capital to managing his men, machine and materials, his is a 24 hour job, with no respite, so to say. But being wealthy he enjoys all the luxuries of life. In contrast an office goer work is a 8 hours job. He has his duty hours and has limits to his earnings. He is not lucky to enjoy the luxuries of life with his limited income. But he enjoys his leisure and tense free life. Whose life do you prefer? A life filled with tensions but with a lot of money or a tension free life with little money?

hello preethaanju,
Given a chance I prefer to have a business of my own. Indeed it's a lot more challenging and complicated for I need to have a lot of strategies, ideas in order to attract the customers but it's worth trying. Have to be strong and determined with it for having a business is a gambling sometimes. But if you know already the formula, everything follows.

can i choose both? LOL
well in both parties has advantages and disadvantages of course. being a businessman is not a joke. being a professional is not a joke either. its just a matter of choice. if you choose to govern or put up a business of your own why not? just think of all the possibilities and studies before jumping into it. because if you just come up of managing a business with your own. then you will loose money, effort, and your time of course.
on the other side being a professional is cool and high end. LOL however a lot or many professionals are not getting good with their own lives. their just receiving a very low rate of wages. and let me say this many of graduates has no job nowadays. so sad to accept but thats the reality.

U want to accept both? u think u can handle both? i personally think its hard and may be impossible to do two things same time.. We cant give the same dedication and work sincerely to both. We may end up losing both... But in my place, parents give preferance to professionals when it comes to marrying off their daughters thx

I would perfer to be a businessman, however, before i become a businessman, i should take an experience of being an office. Because you should know about the field and to be a professnor before to be a businessman, that is my advice.
Another advantage being a businessman is that do your own work, you will go to great lengths and look this job as a career, while an office just do job, just the duty but nothing.

Hi friend this is a nice question which came to my mind before but i forgot to ask anyway thanks for the question. Coming to my side i prefer Professional only because i did my engineering in the year 2008. Now i am also working in a company. My father is a business man. Daily he comes so late to home and he goes very fast in the morning. My mother makes stress on me. Please do work in the company and it shows your profession and don't do business as your father doing. So, that your life will be happy. And have time to take rest also, see your father is working on holidays and sundays too. My mom said plz take care of your life by enjoying and working.

So indirectly ur hinting that u dont want to follow ur father's footsteps? yes business is tough. We only see the rosy side of a businessman's life and forget the effort and sacrifices that go in to make it successful thx

I can't say you are quite right at the fact that office workers are tension free. If you are a little senior such as a supervisor or maybe just an officer, let alone a manager, you can have quite a headache too. You too will have stress and tensions and finishing after office hours does not mean you can just shut it off. I agree businessman has more problems, so I would rather be rich with those problems, rather than having problems without wealth.

I think I would like to choose my life as a businessman rather than being a professional. But you can be a professional while having your own business. It means, you can still practice your profession if you studied Business Administration, Computer courses, Accounting, Management, etc. But to become a businessmen needs to risk a lot of money, needs planning and many things as compared to being part of a company practicing your profession. But it is very challenging because you are holding your own time, you are your own boss and you learn many things in business management. You also meet a lot of people. Keep posting. Happy mylotting. Have a nice day.

Do u think its practical to think that we can handle tow jobs same time? i dont think so. Already a businesman's life is a 24 hour duty. How will u find time to devote to ur professional work? thx

I don't think there is such a thing as tension free life. Each person, no matter which end of the social scale will experience this one way or another. Of course, regarding your question, it's better to have a tension free life with little money. Besides, what is money for if you can't find time to enjoy it because of the tension filled life you have? hehehe...This is only my opinion. Thanks!

Being a businessman, as a beginner is having a hard life. You have to maintain the integrity and quality of service that you offer all the time. You have to face problems that are really complicated especially when you are your own boss and no one is there to help you with the job. Everything is yours to complete and handle. But as time ran and you have your business working smoothly and very stable. Then I can say, welcome to a life of being a happy go lucky person.
While working in as a professional is having an easy life at first because all you have to do is do you task and nothing follows. It's like working for hours and get paid for what you have worked for. But as time ran, we tend to get older by the minute. So I can say when working age really matters most. Once you are incapable of doing the job it's very hard for you to enjoy life blessing.

The simple rule behind this is "No pain, no gain". The businessman takes more pain and he usually achieves more than a professional. Moreover, you can be the boss of yourself and all your profits is directly proportional to the efforts you put in. So, if the business man wants to relax a little while, he can but at a little cost, which I guess he/she can very easily afford.

Yes there is no gain wihout pain.. nothing comes easy in life. But in business we get the satisfacion that we benefit from our hard work while in offices we work for others...thx

i think a bussiness man life is much better than a professional one becoz there is no problem for the next generation to think about career which is the most toughest thing in todays date. another positive point to be in bussiness is that in old age their will not be any tension about earnings as the shop would have much to give at that time too.
i will opt that my old days will be fine and tension free even for my kids as if they do not like studies , there will be a second option as well as no risk of starvation finding jobs here and there which would be a great problem in the coming days.

I would prefer life as a businesswomen... but if I had to rely on the money I make in my own ventures, I'd be in the poor house right now. Life as a professional isn't all that great, but it does pay the bills (well, at least most of them)
But you know what they say about having a J-O-B... JOB equals Just Over Broke.
I work hard for someone else and they make a lot of money from the work I do. I would be willing to work longer and harder for myself if it paid my bills, because there's always the chance that I could make it big and get all of the money!!

Hey,
I would rather have thee life of a professional. When I was younger I always wanted to be a business man because of the money, but now I realize how stupid I was. I would rather have a more relaxed job, then be stressed out and have more money. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I would like to pursue my career as a businessman but as I neiother have sufficient money nor experience I think its better to be a professiona in the beggining stage and gain some work experience/ finance before entering into the business world. Yes, Business man has to invest capital, Men and materials and he need to be in the hot chair for 24*7 a week and it is extremely a competitive stuff as you need to take care of your business and lot has to be done. Only because of that High labour he remains rich and wealthy. But that is not the case for an office goer. He is not that rich like the businessman and he has limits to his earnings. But 8 hours is applicable only if it is a Government job and in private companies you are exploited nearly for 12 to 13 hours a day and you even do not find time to sit and relax for a moment. I suggest that Business man's life is the best.

Hi preethaanju
I prefer both! I wanna be a businesswoman and a freelance work or teach something. I love teaching! Yes, when build the business, one must be very busy and embroiled in many tense situations, but after his/her business has reach the top, he/she definitely just need to check sometimes and can enjoy the result and all the money! It's worth to be done. Plus, we can get holiday as many as we want and personally I don't like to be ruled by other people, I wanna be my own boss and enjoy my life. Nowadays, so many college graduated that wanna be an employee. Better I prepare their job-field than being one of them. Wanna enjoy luxury I can make other business too, there's no limit how many I can earn, it depends on my own ability. But of course I can get bored and need time to myself. I like playing piano and wanna be a piano teacher too. So, I prefer both!
Thanks for this nice discussion, it makes me remember my dreams again, preethaanju!
