1. Use Word Help to learn more about pages and making Web pages public.
a. Search in Help for information on Web page design, Web Layout, Web sites, and publishing Web pages.
b. Use the help pages that might be appropriate for writing a report on using word to create a Web site.
c. Write a one-page report in Word summarizing the information you found.
d. Include your name and the date in a header.

You can't be serious about web design if you're using Word.
To learn about coding for creating web pages, try learning (X)HTML here: http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/xhtml_intro.asp
A great place to get good information about web designing and programming, try here: http://www.dezwozhere.com/links.html
And you'll certainly need to learn how to write CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for all your formatting.
Now, this is where you should start learning about Web Design!

MS word is the worst editor for html work till known.
Why don't you use anylive design editors like DreamWeaver or GoLive or Web Builder..all three are best...
And please learn coding step wise step if you lost any property of particular elemets.

man what does this thread mean. do you yourself knwo what you are talking abuot. no wonder this thread does not have so may responses. andy ways if you need to learn web desinging then the first thing you have to do is get strong on the basics liek html and the design part with layout and color.
