Xbox 360 won't turn on

Help! My xbox 360 won't turn on. I've tried everything that microsoft suggests. I found out it wasn't working after waking up after a storm. My guess is it was a power surge. Anyone else have the same problem?

Maybe the storm has burnt the power adaptor... since you don't use an UPS

This has happened to me several times. I had my xbox directly plugged into the wall outlet and lighting struck nearby and short circuited everything. I tried turning on my xbox and i got the 1 red ring. After a few hours it was back to normal. Shortly later i bought a surge protecter and nothing else has happened.

Something similar happened to me. There was a hurricane and when I got back home and tried to turn on my XBox it wouldn't work. I even sent it off to see if they could fix it, and when they sent it back it still didn't work. It turned out that I had the switch on my XBox power cord turned to HD instead of regular tv. You might want to check that out just to be sure.
