Inactive Referrals = BUMMER!

I get really bummed out when I realize just how many referrals I actually have and then that NONE of them are active. With Mylot alone I have 9 referrals and not one of them is active. Sometimes I wonder why they even bother signing up! I have a website with all of the sites I'm currently earning money on. I will sometimes notice that people will visit my site and then join each (or most of) my sites but they aren't active on ANY of them. It just seems like a huge waste of time to me. I don't quite get why they do it. Do you have a lot of referrals? Are most of them active? inactive?

I have 14 referrals here in mylot.Jus like what you are experiencing, they are not active as well. The first time I invited them they post around 5 posts, that is already the highest. The second day, you will no longer see their name and they will tell you that they find it very hard to earn in mylot. In that case, you don't have a choice but to let him/ her go and look for another one. Actually, this is my second account, before i have my own account with an active referral and actually until now she is active,it was so sad that my first account was banned without knowing the reason. But it's okay. maybe I committed a mistake. If I retained that account, for sure I have a lots of earnings in terms of referrals. thanks for sharing. happy mylotting!

I share with them my experience in the site but still I was not able to encourage them to be active in the site. I have no right to force them. The best thing to do for us to earn in the site is to work by ourself. We can meet the monthly minimum amount, we just have to be very active and post quality discussions. This month I have reach more than the minimum, I am hoping by next month I will double my earnings again. I will double the job that I did this month. I am planning a new cellphone for myself. I know I will just to strive hard for me to attain it.happy mylotting!!

That was true, I noticed some new users give up early because they say that it is hard to earn. Then you will see them just post a few then they will expect for nice earning. As a new user before, I found out that I have to work hard to have a good rating because it helps to earn more in participation, as stated in the FAQ. You can tell your referrals about your experience when you first joined in here and tell that it is hard only at first but they can also adapt on it later when they work hard. In that way, they will be encouraged to be active here.

You are right, we don't have to depend barely on referrals when they are not interested to participate here. Having active referrals helps to earn but we should also work to earn more.

I got about 750ish referrals on all my sites last time I tried to count at the beginning of August. Over 50% are active, I'd guess around 60-70% are active. U need to give more ways to contact you, E-mail is slow and doesn't provide interaction. If people had more ways to contact you instantly for guidance and help with the sites you promote, you'd likely get more active referrals. Also the way your write doesn't help. You write with doubt, so you don't build the trust factor. For mylot you wrote... "If you earn $10 by the end of the month, that money will be transfered to your Paypal account around the 15th of the next month. " Change that to "Once you earn $10 at the start of a month you will be cashed out and receive your money around the 15th" "if" is a doubt word, should not be used. "end" is not something ppl want to read as well. "transferred" is the correct spelling, always run spellchecker. "next month" can be removed by using "start" of the month rather then "end" I suggest you read my 5 part series on how to get referrals that can be found on my blog. Blog link on profile.

I appreciate all of your advice. I don't really think any of this has to do with why my referrals are inactive though? :-/

Has to with why they aren't active. 1) They aren't seeing you as a trustworthy source, you talk with doubt and so they don't join the site knowing it's worked for you, so why would it work for them? 2) When people can interact with you, they know a person will help them if they have trouble. If they have a mentor/helper you are much more likely to stick with something. 3) Your site has no payment proofs, if there is no proof they why should they stick with a site if they run into even the slightest of problems? Again a Trust factor. 4) You are writing for the reader on the site, not you. Edit your writing to provide the trust with confidence and helpful info. really suggest you read the series I wrote, it will really help you. It doesn't try to "sell" you anything or give you "hype". Just helpful proven ways to get active referrals.

If they didn't trust me to begin with, after they read what I had to say, then they wouldn't have bothered to sign up. They don't decide that AFTER they go through the trouble of signing up.

I have several referrals too but not one of them is active. It's very sad and a huge bummer. I know one of them told me that myLot was a waste of his time so he won't come back. I dont' quite understand that since myLot is also social and getting to interact with others and we get to share our opinions is fun. Then of course all that adds up to a little bit of money which we can always use. Some people are very strange.

We cannot blame them for feeling that way.Let them go, it will not a loss for you, but its their loss. Just like you,I also have lots of referrals but no one is active. What I did is I stop gathering referrals and focus on making quality discussions and responses. I know even I am just alone to earn here in mylot.I still believe that I can do it. I am happy that I have reached pay out this month, actually more than the minimum pay out.I hope I can double it the next time.I think what we can do is to work by our own self.happy mylotting!

I have 7 referrals, but many of them are inactive. Only 2 of the are active and glad they are more active than me.. I think our referrals that inactive somehow they did not or not yet find anything interesting about myLot especially for earnings. My 2 referrals getting active on myLot because they are find some tasks are great to earn money. That's what i think..

I have been trying so hard to get some one as my referrals, but no luck. how ever, if that user becomes under me, i will guide him or her to this site. if he/she doesn't want it anymore i would just give the cancellation link to them.

At least you have 9 referals! I only have 1 and she is hardly active. She is my neighbor, so I know how much she has in her balance, it's 19 cents, and I only gained one cent from that...Does that seem correct?

Yea, but 9 inactive referrals is about as good as 0 referrals. LOL at least you have one referral that is posting! That's great!! And yes, we only earn a small percentage of our referrals earnings.

I have 36 referrals in here. Some of them were active in here for a while, and even had a couple who were very active for a while as well, but none of them are active here anymore so it makes it wonder why as well. But personally I think sometimes people tend to sign up for sites, and then never give them a chance or forget they have even signed up for them even. Or after giving it a try think this site is a waste of time due to the small amount of $$ we earn for the time spent in here, so it can be quite frustrating for sure. All I can say is do not give up. Maybe in time we can find an active referral somewhere.

My referral is zero, which is worse and less than you,but I never promote and put my referral link on any place.I want to finish my recent 500 posts goal first.Second,I want to improve my English expression to be more fluent and wide-ranging,then I will think about promoting my referral link The reason why we aren't working hardly here is most of us have a job in reality. So this place for us,where is we just want to get some fun in a larger part.I know a blogger here,I am one of his referrals here,he got lots of referral, even if he will post nothing,he also can earn $20-$30 per month, these income is very steady, but in order to reach this goal,he wrote dozens of articles about introducing myLot at least with his own domain name blog site So don't feel despair and give up,so long as you really want to earn more and get more referrals

I thought this was just happening with me. I also have a few referrals at Mylot. Most of them have not made a single post. One spends so much time and effort to get referrals and then the referrals become inactive.

I've said it once and I will say it again... Referrals are a complete waste of time.. I don't have any referrals here as I see no point in having a bunch of inactive referrals.. I'd rather have no referrals than a bunch of inactive ones... That's why you will never make money promoting referrals.. most people like the idea of what you are referring but then get instantly bored or they just forget because it wasn't what they expected.. so don't stress about referrals.. you're better off having no referral than a million inactive referrals

I agree. It sounds great and then it becomes too much work for people who aren't truly interested!

I don't have too many referrals, only a few friends in my real life. I invited them to mylot, but most of them are not active in mylot. One times I ask them the reason why they did not post. They said they had no time and they did not find discussions they interested. Everyone have the way to live. So don't scold them if they are not active in mylot. Happy mylot!

Please do not try to "sell yourself" here. It states right in the Mylot TOS that we cannot post referrals.
