I cannot drink my coffee very hot. It burns my lips and tongue and for few days I cannot taste anything properly. So I prefer little more hotter than luke warm. But my husband needs it very hot and I wonder how he is able to drink it. What about you? Do you drink your coffee/tea very hot?

I cannot drink very hot coffee. That is very dangerous. It will burn my tongue, gums, throat. I dare not risk that. I do like drinking warm coffee and tea. It tastes better than cold. I take it with lots of milk and sugar. My favorite is decaf with cream and sugar.

There should be a correct way to drink or sip you're coffee. And there is also some tools to avoid getting burn from it.. I use a cup with a cover and a little hole in it.. The one's that you can buy of you're friendly market.. It's like the one you have when you buy you're coffee on starbucks on the GO. I seldomly use a tea cup or any ordinary cup for that matter, so I can sip my coffee hot enough for me and cold enough for my tolerance. You guys should try it. It really helps and it will help you drink you're coffee hot and yummy. Specially when you're taking in a drink with espresso shot in it.. You need to leave it really hot for it to hold it's best taste.

I get my tongue burnt very easily with hot coffee. And that happens at least once in a week as my wife used to drink her coffee scalding hot.It still beats her how a person can drink coffee so lukewarm. So I get burnt as the result.

Hi, Buchi_bulla. Yes, I love to drink my coffee very hot. I will make sure that I let it cool down before I drink it. I like to sip it while it is very hot. And I also like it to be scalding hot while it is sitting inside of my mug. It stays hot longer this way.

I like my coffee hot. I've had too many coffee accidents in the past. If I don't burn my lips or my tongue, I usually drop the cup because it's too hot for me to hold. Somehow I keep on forgetting what coffee sleeves are for. ;)

Oh God! You drink your coffee so hot is it? Hands cannot hold but tongue can hold the heat. That is great.

I like to drink my tea very, very hot. It seems it's the only way I can get the taste, or flavor. For some reason, it doesn't really scorch my lips or tongue. However, my coffee has to be ice cold. Don't like hot coffee.

tea hot and coffee cold, this is really new to me. My daughter also likes cold coffee like you. But you should give me hot coffee, when I come to your house friend.

I love to drink either in two different way i.e. cold as well as hot. Depends on my mood and the season too. Very hot tea/coffee is very difficult but I manage to have it very carefully otherwise of course my tongue gonna burn. There are varities in tea like some are spicy and full of flavour. It's easy enough to make all kinds of tea varieties at home, you just need a few good recipes to get you started and your mood too to drink it hot..:-)

That is really good to know that we can make varieties of tea at home. I know only one type of tea and coffee.

In fact I may say that I prefer my coffee cold.In the past I didn't think about it but a friend of mine noticed that I always keep a cup of coffee on my desk.It has probably strated because I am really busy working and don't have enough time to drink the whole of it in the morning.some time later in the afternoon when I am free I take it and drink it without thinking of the fact it is cold.

This happens to many ladies. They will be busy doing work in kitchen and simply forget the coffee. It becomes cold and they drink it as it is, i.e. cold coffee or tea.

I like my coffee extremely hot. One of the reasons why I like it soo hot, is because I often drink hot coffee with really cold ice cream, and sometimes I'll put a scoop of ice cream into the coffee cup, so it'll melt into the coffee. If the coffee starts out boiling hot, then it won't get cold from the addition of a scoop of ice cream.

With coffee and tea, hot is good. Some places where you get coffee or tea to go, it can be too hot. But since I put milk in my coffee and my wife likes tea in her milk, it is better to be a bit hotter at first to absorb the cool milk. Besides, that is what slurping is for, to cool the hot liquid as you slurp it up with air to cool it down. Once it has cooled some, then you don't have to slurp!

Hai dld999, first of all your avatar image butterfly is good. Then your slurp theory is really interesting. I could not think in these lines before. So slurping will cool the tea because air is coming out and cooling the tea. Thanks for the information.

Hello Buchi_bulla. I love to drink it very hot, but I also love to drink it when it is warm. I think that it tastes better when it is hot and warm. So is the same with me to like hot soup, especially in winter when it is cold. Enjoy yourself, friend.

I like a hot cup of coffee/tea. Hot does not mean piping hot. But i do not like it lukewarn or cold. But my dad and my husband both like piping hot coffee/tea. I just do not know how they drink so hot like burning charcoals. A minute delay after preparing coffee/tea make them comment it is not at all hot. So just imagine. We have convinced our dad after the doctor's advice that drinking very hot beverage is not good for the health but my husband is very particular in drinking piping hot coffee/tea.
