how to earn money on twitter???

Hi guys, i have a twitter account. i have heard many times that we can earn from twitter. But i don't how??? could any body please explain the thing?? Actually i don't see that details on twitter like your payments etc.....

i think this has something to do with the digging of twets and every dig on your tweet generate some mony and for that digging you need a bunch of refferals who go there and digg the tweet. so that;;s it.
