Hello my friend about LCD monitor beside of space saving, for me LCD monitor also easy to carry when because it is not so heavy compare to CRT. It also give us some cool style and nice looking when we are in front of computer. It also create less hot air compare to CRT the behind monitor will become so hot after few hours. Now days many people use LCD monitor because the price is almost the same with CRT.

Apart from space saving and sleek look LCD monitors have some advantages over CRT monitors like: 1. LCD monitors consume less electricity as compared to CRT monitors. 2. LCD monitors are good on eyes. They cause less strain in eyes as compared to CRT monitors. 3. Another benefit is that , If LCD monitor's wire is damaged then we can just change the wire and not the whole monitor but if CRT monitor's wire is damaged then we have to change the monitor itself. I think that CRTs use a lot more resources and toxic chemicals that make them so hard to recycle. Think of all that leaded glass in the picture tube and huge power supply. That's why they are so heavy and bulky. LCD monitors may not be great when it comes to recycling but CRTs are much worse.

The Crt monitors Take more space as compared to LCDs and the resoliution of the LCDs are much higher as compared to the CRTs ... The Crt monitors used to work on a cathode tube ... because of which the pixel levels were not that good

LCD monitor is lighter, much smaller and less glaring... it is easily transportable too, but LCD is as much sensitive as well, you don't want to poke it with sharp objects as it will coz it to puncture and something really nasty can ooze out from it and you certainly don't want to touch that, i have heard you should not touch that liquid thing ever, i don't what happens though... have a nice day seekers!
