Do you think its about time?

I am now 28 yrs old, male still single and i am a little bit worried bout my future. Do you think its about time to settle down? to have a family of my own? But the biggest barrier for me is im afraid to accept any responsibilities coz i know there is no turning back if you decide to be on that situation. any suggestion, pls?
