What Happens When Upper Managment Discusses Personel Issues with Other Employees

I'm in a situation where I just found out that the VP of Mfg is going around discussing with hourly employees issues about me. I was told by an hourly employee (I am salary) that the VP has informed her not to give me any assistance in what I am doing. The new position (demotion) I just took on after being on maternity leave for 12 weeks is a learning curve for me. I need the assistance of certain individuals in order to do my new duties correctly. I have filed a suit with EEOC and I feel that management is talking about me to others as a form of retaliation. Any suggestions?

Wow what a betrayl of trust. Employers are not supposed to put personal business out there. I agree definately keep a detailed journal about the things they are saying and doing with dates if you can. Also is there anyone in the company you can address this issue with? Good job filing suit w/eeoc. I think they have a counselor you may be able to talk to about what else to do. Good Luck.

I'm not going to be able to help much but I sympathize. One thing I would recommend to anyone is to keep a journal of all this schtuff. You won't know when you'll need it. Incidentally here in Canada I know that a proper journal will be considered by the courts if it becomes a legal issue. I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make in another country.
