I do. He is my hero. His views match more than the 23 million that listen to his show everyday. Many are unable to listen to him because of work or other reasons. There are millions of people that don't listen now because what we feel is happening to our country is too horrible to think about. He is not a racist. He is very compassionate. He wants everyone to have a chance to realize the American dream. If he is so unpopular, why does he make 38 million a year?

I agrea in principal with a lot of what he has to say, but honestly, I think the man is an asss. He is also nothing more than a republican talking points parrot, I have a hard time listening to parrots. Like I said, I do agrea in principal with some of what he says, I just wish it was comming from somewhere else and wasn't so partisan. Unfortuneatly, most radio and tv journalism has pretty much sunk to that same level. they are all in the tank for one of the two big parties and they become more and more obvious about it every passing year. I used to watch Rush's show years ago, when he had on on tv, he was ok back then I guess, but I was also a lot more of a party flag waver back then too, so mybe he hasn't changed, maybe I just woke up.

Let me see, how should I answer this...ummmm...NOPE, I don't like Rush Limbaugh, not one teensy, tiny little bit! Now, take note that I didn't say "I hate Rush Limbaugh", I said I don't LIKE him. Are you sure he has 23 million daily listeners or is that weekly? I guess it really wouldn't matter since it would be the same people being counted every day. I wouldn't venture a guess as to what percentage of his listeners actually agree with him or of how many people who don't listen to him would agree with him if they did. However, I KNOW there are some who listen to him who have never agreed with a single word he's ever said because I was once one of them!
I'm not going to argue with you and say I know beyond any doubt he's a racist but I sure don't know that he isn't. He DOES seem to have a hard time accepting any success by a minority who isn't a conservative being because they EARNED it! Your statement that "He is very compassionate" absolutely blows me away! I'm sure he'd never call the pre-teen daughter of Republicans a "dog", mock a young conservative with a debilitating disease or make a very cruel and vulgar remark about a conservative woman whose husband had cheated on her as she fought cancer. In other words, you really should have said "He is very compassionate towards conservatives" to be taken seriously.
Nobody has ever said he's not popular but a conservative like you, of all people, should know that being popular doesn't make someone good, smart or right.

He is rich isn't he! I knew I could get you to reply to this post! Relax,I'm just seeing how angry I can get you people on the left. I guess if I say why do conservatives hate liberals,I get viciously attacked! I didn't say little old ladies were Nazi's. Speaking of John Edwards. Here's a guy that screws around on his wife while she has CANCER! They he is being investigated for paying people off to keep quiet with campaign funds even though he's worth MILLIONS! You defend this horrible man. How do you think his wife thinks of him? This guy was almost PRESIDENT! What if you husband did that to you? I guess it's OK because he's a lib. Just like Bill Clinton who was accused of RAPE! Where do the left find these people?

I can't say I like him, even when I agree with him.

Yes, I like him. The Rush Limbaugh Show is the most listened to radio talk show in America, broadcast on over 600 radio stations nationwide. It is hosted by America's Anchorman, Rush Limbaugh, also known as: America's Truth Detector; the Doctor of Democracy; the Most Dangerous Man in America; the All-Knowing, All-Sensing, All-Everything Maha Rushie; defender of motherhood, protector of fatherhood and an all-around good guy.

airakumar, We need you to move over here. We need more people like you in this country. I lived in India when I was a small child. I wish I could remember what it was like. I do remember living in Kathmandu,Nepal. I was 8 years old. We lived like royalty. We had a cook, maid, laundry person and a armed guard. We had square kites that we put a solution on that had glass in it and we would cross strings with other kites and try to cut their lines! We also had soda in those bottles that had a marble in the top to seal them.

You know I never really paid attention to him until the left really started going after him... much like with Hannity. I don't care so much for his talk show... I prefer Mark Levin... however I found his books quite surprising. I agree with him much of the time.

I do too. I would not go so far to say he is my hero, but he is definitely one of my professors. His show is popular is because he was the first to say what he is saying. People like Beck and Hannity are where they are because of the success of Rush. Rush proved that talk radio format could be very successful. Think about this, more people listen to Rush than anyone one MSNBC. With TV it is easy, most people that watch TV are not doing anything else. Unlike TV radio most are driving or working. There is an advantage though, with radio you are forced to listen because you have nothing to watch, so the message is more conveyed. As to his wages, just think how much he is making his sponsors. There is a reason he makes what he makes. If Rush had as few viewers as those Air America personalities he would not make nearly as much.
One last thing when he goes on vacation Rush brings to his audience very capable talk show host. Today was Mark Billings, later this week is Mark Stein, and Friday is the most intelligent Walter E. Williams.

I think he is great - open and honest no matter what he is discissing. I remember when he had his TV show and got on the subject of them saying all the time this, that etc wasn't good to eat. He did one bit on popcorn when yoiu went to a movie. I rolled laughing at him. The liberals don't want to know - why - becaude he is RIGHT 99.9% of the time. Kepp up the good work Rush.

I don't like him. I don't like "commentators" that people cling to as if they are a proper source of news. I've never really listened to his show except in passing when my father is listening to it (he likes it), and occasionally in the car with him. He is just obnoxiously biased. I mean, its clear as day. I am an independent in view, but I just can't understand why someone could agree with any sort of political extreme. Theres a pretty significant difference between a conservative and an extremist (and vice versa with liberals). From the sounds of his show it just seems like an outlet for bias, misinformation, and a conservative agenda. Even if you agree with a lot of his views, its not healthy to deem this a "news source" or allow him to be the only outlet from which you get your news. For someone to be properly informed they should at least draw the news and analyze it from a few networks/sources/stations.
A while ago I used to watch Glenn Beck a lot (on CNN), and he was really enjoyable though I didn't agree with all he was saying. There was an air of honesty and realness. When he switched to Fox News, though; he seemed to throw away his idea of openness in exchange for Fox News' obvious conservative bias. Glenn Beck on CNN was the perfect avenue for him because he was able to counteract the generally liberal views on CNN.
These days I try to pull the news from different outlets. If you enjoy Rush, go ahead and listen to him. Just don't be foolish and think he is always accurate and in need of becoming the President (as I have been seeing Rush/Palin Presidential signs). He is an entertainer. That is why he is paid so much.

themasterdebater, Maybe we should listen to you instead!!!!LOL You disagree with him but instead of taking his ideas and telling us why he is wrong and you are right, you resort to name calling. Why? You are wrong and he is right!!! He makes 38 million dollars a year and you make minimum wage! Who should we listen to? I'm not sure? A brilliant man who started at the bottom and climbed his way up to being the number one talk show host in the country or you? More bashing from the left. BIG SURPRISE!!!

I don't particularly like him, from the few times I've heard his show some of his ideas are a bit screwy and out of touch, but that's me. Also, it is true some may share his ideas, but other may listen to him , because they may love to hate him and they just tune in to see what he says next. Just because he makes 38 million a year doesn't mean that everyone like him or should like him, so the amount of money makes doesn't really prove anything, because we don't know if those people are listening to him for shock value or are they listening because they truly feel how they do.
